Can it really hold 300 cars? It doesn't look that big...

We currently have 50 cars in the box and there is a LOT of room left. I think it would easily hold 300 cars.

Does it have trays inside to hold the cars?

No...it does not have multiple trays to hold the cars...it's just an open storage box...but each side has a zipper that you open and it folds down into a play mat. Then you can use the lid to hold the cars.

Does the top lid zip on and off? I cannot tell from the pictures. I looks like it just rests on top.
