Melissa & Doug 7-Piece Poseable Wooden Doll Family for Dollhouse (2-4 inches Each)

Very sturdy yet movable dolls. They fit perfectly in our daughters dollhouse, I love that they have movable arms and legs but are not plastic. Well made, have had for about a month with three young children playing with them and they look brand new still.

These little wooden dolls are well loved by 6 kids ages 2-12. They have been chewed on and lost their hair and eyes wearing off so I pulled out my glue gun and added some new hair and darkened the eyes with a paint marker. They are otherwise durable and are surviving lots of abuse. They fit perfectly in little hands and a great price for how much love they are getting! I will be buying more this Christmas!

I bought these dolls to be apart of our kids area at the museum, and they fit really well! If you have the royal doll set also by Melissa and Doug for comparison you'll see that these dolls are just a tad bigger. It's not a big enough difference that any furniture from the others sets wouldn't work though. Their is couple reasons to why this isn't five stars 1. The hair. All the dolls have pretty nice hair. However, the way all three of the boys' hair is glued down make it impossible to smooth it down from it's natural fro. parts are also glued down in weird places, causing their to be empty spots of poof on them. I had expected the grandmothers hair to be long and in a braid like the other woman and child, but you see that it's actually cut quite short and just intently glued into that position when you turn the doll around. 2. As other reviews have said, they don't stand well. When you do get them to stand, often by hunching them over a bit, they end up balancing all of their weight on one foot since their legs aren't actually the same length. It isn't a noticeable difference when not trying to stand them. 3. The baby. The baby's body is actually just a literal doll head smaller than the other children. It is very large, which would be fine if the head fit. However the head just looks off with this baby due to the size. Altogether it's like a backwards bobble head. I still give it four stars instead of three because even though their are flaws, the children that play with them don't seem to care. They actually like that they look like they're posed mid step, and adore the fluffy hair of the men. They occasionally point out that the baby is "weird" but they still have fun playing with them. All that glue on their heads look like it'll hold, and altogether they appear rather sturdy.

My daughter got a new dollhouse and a car to go with the dollhouse. So of course you need dolls to go with everything. I decided on these ones and they work perfectly. All the dolls was dressed and put together nicely.

While these are not the most glamorous, Kardashian type family around... these are, by far, the best dolls that I have found for my 4 yr olds new doll house. Why is it so hard to find good dolls for these things?! This is an every day, working class, American family. They are kinda crazy to look at, Grandpa and Dad could use a hairbrush... Mom literally has a baby stuck to her all the time. Brother looks like he's been electrocuted and sister has a crazed look in her wooden eye. They are easy to manipulate and could use some clothes from this decade, but... they look happy together.... Now that i'm typing this...They are MY FAMILY actually. Nice. Thanks for making a perfect replica of my family! It's no wonder my daughter can soo easily play house... This is Us!

Great for the doll house for a 3 year old.

Work perfect for her doll house

Perfect little people to go with the Melissa & Doug house we also got. Very basic, but easy to play with, and each one was allocated to be someone in the family. We also got the Melissa & Doug car that came with extra people also. The people are 2 or 3 years old now, and only recently started becoming a bit worse for wear.

A good size and a good number of figures. the only downside is that dolls can't change clothes.

These are adorable and very well made! I was very impressed with the quality. The are posable and able to sit.
