Fantastic story
Started on book two, and it was that good I don’t know whether to go back to book one or move on to book three 😬Loved Duke and Reese, their story was a brilliant read. The emotion in this book was gut wrenching. To feel the emotion along with the characters was special. I loved Carbon, his love for his sister was special and his commitment to her was beautiful.Loved the book, highly recommend if you like the MC genre.

Fantastic
Second book in the series and this book is arguably better than the first. This one is about Reese and the secrets that she has kept from Duke and how Duke comes to forgive her. There is still drama of course along with the underground story but this book gives us another underground story to follow and now I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens.

Duke
Duke and Reece make for an awesome full throttle ride of twists and turns and surprises with a HEA and a cliff hanger leading to Phoneix's book.

Duke and Reese!
I was waiting for this book since I read Dash! I loved that this story took a complete turn from Dash and had its own plot and story line! Now I'm not a fan of secret baby but I felt that this was justified in my opinion. Sometimes Duke was a typical alpha male and I wanted to choke him! But it all worked out into a HEA. If you love the found family trope ALL of these books are for you!

A great addition and second novel to an already amazing series which has only just started!
Spitfire Reece (younger sister to the clubs enforcer) and Blackwings SAA duke are a couple that may be as stubborn as each other but after a bumpy ride and oh sh** and wtf moments that leave you wanting to know what happens next, find solice and love in one another’s arm, which complicates matter when that one night of fun turns into a lifetime of being connected together forever. There are moments when you think you know how it is going to play out and then your pleasantly surprised when it takes a twist you were not expecting. Reece is a woman and mother who will do anything to show she is strong and capable! With the memories of her family dying and only having her older brother for a majority of her life, she finds it hard for really show her true feelings. While duke a brother in the club knows all to well about love and family after rescuing his sister when she was only a child. Can duke and Reece move past the hardships to have the relationship they deserve? Yes they can!! Love conquers all with these two and they come together to be a family!

Secrets, lies, mysteries and misunderstandings! All play together in this MC series
I do NOT consider this to be a STAND-ALONE read. It is part of a series that contains multiple reoccurring characters, details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe / world building, overlapping / concurrent timelines and overarching themes.⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, drug use, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the physical abuse of females etc.** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **There are very few grammatical issues primarily comprised of incorrect word choice and tense, punctuation errors, missed words and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow. This is a solid story with some twists thrown into the mix. This story features Duke and Reese, and after a quick recap from Reese’s prom night from both POVs, picks up approximately one year after the end of Dash and Ember’s HFN. Some of the previous series threads are brought to a close, but some new details are found at the end to start the next story with Phoenix and Annabelle.I gave this 4 stars because of how immature some of the characters are throughout. It really made me feel for Phoenix. No wonder the man comes across as a tyrant … he is dealing with grown up children of all ages. Plus the sexism is a little over the top. I love a good strong alpha male who knows how to take charge, but not one that comes across as a patronizing jacka$$.The other thing was the series is reading more as a “MC light” so far. It is like it straddles the line like a “wanna be” somewhere between a brotherhood for serious motorcycle riders and a MC. There are some items that could be triggers, but not what I would call an outlaw MC by any means. Without providing spoilers, an example using anyone who had done half of what the former owner of the farm, or the nemesis of this story, would already be dead and dissolving in a field of lye in an outlaw MC.In this story, Duke has recovered with a few remaining issues from the attack a year ago. He is dealing with a migraine when he gets a call that changes his world as he knows it. He needs to go pick up his son from daycare because Reese didn’t show before they closed … WTF?!Thankfully he has family close to the daycare that can get there quickly while he is enroute. Then they can focus on finding Reese. The love of his life. The pain in his a$$. The mother of his child. That did not tell him she was pregnant.Fortunately Duke and Carbon, her brother, make the two hour trip in record time. The tech guru of the club is able to figure out where her car is, but the bad news is it went through a guardrail and over a deep embankment. Just when it seems that all hope is lost, Duke hears a faint “HELP ME” …

3,5*
So, I liked the book very much but I didn't love it. The main issue I have with this series is the age of the women. Ember in the first book “Dash“ was 18, Reese here is about 19 in the beginning, at the end about 20. Even Duke told her, when they had a fight that she has daddy issues. Why, oh why do they have to be so young... Ember is now 19 years old, will marry Dash soon and is kind of the CEO at the farm where she grew up), managing the stables, breeding horses and growing and selling organics...... Really????? With 19 years?????......Reese is already a mother, and from what I've read Harper is also such a young baby, and her match will be, Carbon. So, the men are all near 30, grown ass men, as Duke called them and the women are basically teenagers.Nevertheless, when you ignore the age it is a good read.Btw.... the guy on the cover is hot, he gets 5* 😍
