The cannula hose below the nose twists round and around for several inches. Any suggestions to prevent?

Once the tubing is connected to the oxygen source and turned on it should slowly lose the memory. If you are referring to the cannula harness you should be able to move the bolo up and down to reduce the twists.

Does the soft head piece that goes around the ears get harder after a week or so?

No not at all. The nose piece can get a little hard if you don't change them every week as recommended. It is the best one we have found & have tried many! On oxygen 24/7 6liters.

Can you tell me what is the inner and outer diameter of this tubing is?

I cannot...but it is high flow if that's what matters? If those measurements are important to you I would pull up the "specs" area from website.
