That is roughly the leverage of 4 big screwdrivers. Simply reverse the ratchet to drive in or out. Our two tone ratchets have a silver front (drive in) and a colored back (drive out) so it's easy to tell whether you're driving in or out. The painted halves are electroplated with the same wear resistant paint used on handcuffs. Our hand tools materials and workmanship warranty applies, but does not cover scratches or gouges in the coating. Replacement colored ratchets cannot be guaranteed. The black coating is low glare. The ratchet is stamped out of USA stainless steel, and the internals are milled from USA tool steel that is heat treated with a black oxide rust resistant finish.
