Months ago, my wife hit a curb and lost a hubcap on our car. £40 each to replace! Even scuffed up second-hand ones go for £30+ on eBay. I couldn't stand looking at my car like that though as the alloys underneath are in a terrible condition, so I bought this smashed up one off eBay for a tenner. Then I bought this resin body filler and got to work once it arrived. I've never used resin body filler before, so I was really glad that the instructions were very clear, illustrated and written in plain English. I was able to get going straight away used a piece of leftover cardboard to mix up the filler on. As the instructions noted, I started off with just a small bit to get used to using it and also understand how long it takes to dry. It dries very quickly! Definitely inside three minutes, so be prepared to apply it. I roughly sanded the plastic surface of this hubcap with 80 grit sandpaper and it adhered to it very well. As you can see, I also rebuilt sections of the hubcap using sellotape to put the filler on, applying a lot of it (unsurprisingly it didn't adhere to the slick sellotape and moved around a lot) and then sanding it down, again with 80 grit, then moving to 120 grit once the majority of it had been removed. I then primed the surface and sprayed it, with the paint adhering nicely to the filler. The final result is very strong, much stronger than I though, at least and I'm really pleased with the result. This is excellent stuff, great value for money and ideal to have around as you can see it has a number of applications. I use if for model-making. Easy to mix, reasonable working time - 2 minutes approx before it starts to go off (depending on hardener/filler mix). Sands very smooth and can be worked with abrasives and files with excellent results. It can also be used as a 'shell, slip or skin-casting' material (used with a suitable mold release) where you use the filler to cover the suface of a number of moulds of an object, allow them to cure, then release and join the seperate parts of the casting together without having to cast a single, solid piece. Once cured, the filler is very hard but in thin casts is brittle unless used with fine fiblreglass sheet. It can take very fine detailing without breaking/crumbling. I have used it to make new cupboard knobs. Oh, and if you have a car, it's very good at filling holes and dents! Great with fibreglass. :P Nimrod

Great product, just be sure to read instructions as you don't need much hardener and it sands as smooth as you need

Having worked in the motor industry for many years and having been around body repairs on vehicle's this filler has allways been used . I have taken up the hobby of building and repairing model boats and this has become a god send as some of the boats required filling so I have used this filler which is easy to work with but just REMEMBER TO ONLY USE A TINY BIT OF HARDNER AS IT GOES OFF QUICK OTHERWISE and if you make up a lot it ends up being wasted. I would recommend this to any one as can be used in a multitude of places
