Hal Leonard John Mayall with Eric Clapton - Blues Breakers

Good but with reservations
I am old enough to have bought the album that this book is taken from when it was first released. I have always wanted to learn to play Eric Clapton's guitar parts and thought that this would be a good way to go about it. In the event I was slightly disappointed. The book is very good with clear tabs to follow, but somehow, no matter how I try, it just doesn't sound like the record. Of course this could be due to the fact that I am a lousy guitarist or tht the tabs just aren't that accurate. I, of course, prefer the latter explanation although I think the former is the more likely. Anyway, the books isn't very expensive so why not buy a copy and see for yourself?

Chapter 1 in Brit blues.
Pretty accurate transcriptions and a reference book of licks and phrasing heard in thousands of records that followed. Practical stuff: The binding appears solid. You’ll need clips to hold the pages down.
