You need this book
As a person who had no clue how the app process in US works after graduating college, I got this book and it has helped me tremendously to understand the process and how stuff works. Got into med school the first cycle! Very happy and will recommend this book to everyone who wants to get into med school

I am a first generation student in my family who's planning to go into medical school, so I'm not too familiar with the application process. However, from just a few pages I already know this book will be a great help to me. It literally tackle everything I need to worry about with tips and recommendation of what I should do regarding things like my GPA, taking gap years, the timeline to start my application, etc. Please invest in this!! Highly recommend!!

An excellent overview of every step of the premed journey.
As an incoming premed student, this book—married with Dr. Gray's prolific podcasts and Youtube videos—bolstered my confidence surrounding my path towards medical school. Each section, and the content therein, was long enough to give the reader an understanding of a given topic without drowning them with unnecessary details. Moreover, each section was met with plenty of real life examples for the reader to digest, enabling them to adopt Dr. Gray's perspective in how to identify areas of improvement in their own work. My only critique is that Dr. Gray could have included more concrete examples of entries that did everything "right." Nonetheless, I highly recommend this book to any premed student that finds themself in need of an additional resource in the navigation of the long road towards medicine. Thank you for yet another lovely resource, Dr. Gray! You touch the lives of so many!

Just didn't meet my expectations/limited new information
I really love all of Dr. Gray's resources. His personal statement book was so very helpful to me that I was looking for the same caliber in the activities/most meaningful essay writing section. However, in classic Dr. Gray youtube style, the examples were mostly what not to do compared to the many good examples for primary application activity essays I was looking for. I was hoping this section would be about twice the size it is in the book. Also, the info in the book is good, but perhaps superficial or at least I had heard pretty much everything before from his podcasts. Still a good resource to have for quick reference.I skipped the personal statement section since I already have his book, and have not yet read the secondary, or interview section.

Dr. Gray Knows What He's Talking About!
My husband and I went over these books several times, taking notes, and following his advice. He got accepted to multiple medical schools!! I highly recommend these books. The printing is well done, we got a paperback, and we know we wouldn't have gotten in without it.

Don't even think. Just get it.
This was my go-to resource during my applications. It talks about EVERY. SINGLE. THING. There are so many examples of both good and bad. All my questions were answered through this book, and you know that the source is a credible one. Every person that asked me a question on applications, I redirected them to this book. Absolutely a no-brainer purchase for the beginning of an application cycle or even before. I read the book cover to cover and I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
