I'm a general contractor and I can tell this product is well made , it comes with a transformer with its on plug to decrease power to low voltage with connectors on the side for power in and out towards power to the equipment. If you want to put this dumper on your duct lines inside framing ,DO IT BEFORE YOU CLOSE ACCESS TO IT OR JUST PUT AN ACCESS PANEL FOR FUTURE SERVICE ALSO NEED TO TRANSFER THE LOW VOLTAGE WIRE FROM THE BACK OF THE PLUG TO YOUR TERMOSTATE OR separate DEVISE USED TO CONTROL only THE DUMPERS . TOO BAD I HAD some WALLS AND CLOSED AND HAD HARD TIME INSTALLING IT [ low voltage wire do not come in package and also will need an outlet accessible to plug in ( you decide where to plug it according with how long LOW VOLTAGE wire you will use . It can be a DIY if you feel comfortable With it. Mine was meant only to maintain more heat flow on first flow when gets cold and close when gets hot so i get more cold air upstairs when hot

I installed this in our Heat Pump system. Our addition rooms would get too cold with the cold on, even with the registers closed the rooms. The damper was installed and adjusted to restrict the air flow down and now the rooms stay comfortable. This unit works great, it was very reasonably priced and for what I needed it worked perfectly.

easy to replace this one with the old one.

I ordered 2 dampers 12 inch and from the very beginning one came broken. I reordered it and paid to get it installed and the other one broke. I paid 140 to replace it with a Honeywell and my tech is saying that the other one is really hot. I just waisted my money, labor and now I'm looking to probably replacing another plus the labor of my guy agin. I paid for the 2 12 inch dampers plus the install, plus replacing a damaged second amaged one plus replacing it again and buying it at 140 plus looking To replace the other one again because my tech is saying it was overheating. Thanks to this product im paying over a $1000 .

Bedroom used to get too cold. Now the temperature stays perfect. The damper works flawlessly so far.
