Solo New York Broadway Premium Leather Attaché Briefcase With Combination Locks, Black

Bought my first one 3.5 years ago, I stopped being able to use it only yesterday when the bottom of it caved in from the fact that it fell apart from me traveling out of the country and bringing it everywhere I go, even in the rain, in the snow, etc. It did a great job keeping my documents dry. It is even so solid that I can sit on it and use it as a chair in busy airports or while waiting for a bus when all the other seats are taken and I'm tired.I immediately bought a new one and I'm happy the new one arrived today. Today was the first day in 3.5 years I went without my briefcase, and I didn't like it. I'm happy to have a new briefcase from this company, which I'm certain will last at least another 3.5 years. Don't hesitate to buy this briefcase, it's the best thing around, and it's worth every penny (it's surprisingly affordable for it's high level quality and craftsmanship as well)!

I’ve purchased this exact item from Staples for years and decided to buy one here this time. This briefcase is exactly what I expected and is very well made. The back stays that hold it open are strong, all the hardware is well finished and functions perfectly. The inside is nice, the pockets laid out well and it holds everything I need. Well made, good price, shipped quickly and well packaged.

This case looks good and seems to be well made. It's a little skimpy on the interior volume, but I knew the dimensions before I ordered it. It has pockets for files, cameras, et cetera which are handy. On the other hand, I have no use for the cushioned laptop holder that came with it. Still, I'm glad to have it.

Great value, fits my Macbook Pro 17. I discovered that this line of briefcases will accommodate a 17 " MacBook Pro in the main sleeve. The iPad fits nicely in the second sleeve, and there is plenty of room for all the other stuff in the main compartment. Obviously, smaller laptops will fit fine as well. I prefer the briefcase format to roller bags, knapsack, or top-opening bags and this briefcase is of decent quality and is made from leather (not plastic). That said, recently while traveling abroad, the handle broke requiring that I find a replacement at 11pm in a foreign city which was a great challenge. Of course, the case was perhaps 2 years old at the time and habitually loaded with 20lbs+ of stuff. But that's the topic of a different review!When I bought this new SOLO on OCT 2013, the price was $32..... a great value.

First of all I ordered this at 6pm on Saturday night and at 10am Monday morning it was there! WOW!!!! I had been looking around town for one of these for my boyfriend. Everything was either really cheap and all scuffed up (Staples wanted to sell me a samsonite one with scratches and offered to put black marker on it to hide the scratches! Lovely) or really expensive.Then I came to Amazon and found this. For the price, and it is real leather, it is great. It looks great, the leather looks great, the inside looks great and for the price, if it doesn't last a lifetime, that is ok too.

I thought this was a good purchase initially. I took it to a networking event, which caused me to open and close it routinely. After a while, one of the locks, started sticking. I was so embarrassed. I sent it back immediately. For the money that's being charged for it, I expected much better. Aside from the defect, I really enjoyed it. The look, the weight of it, really nice.

Seems to be decently made and is about what was expected. the leather does seem fragile and easily ripped so be careful not to bump into anything with it. If you need a briefcase but don't have the budget for one that will last three generations then this one will get you by. I can tell you that you do NOT want to go cheaper with the other 20-30 dollar options on Amazon. Trust me on this one, you will be disappointed and won't get much use out of the product and have to spend more to replace it and wait for the shipping...you get the idea.

This is perfect. Looks great! I carry around my 13" Chromebook, charger, security cards, wireless mouse, misc cables, paperwork and there is still ample room. If you have a thicker laptop you might eat up some of the empty space. Hinges are solid and hold the top porting open. Locks work well and the handle is very comfortable.

The Solod 471-4 Premium leather briefcase looks much more expensive than it is. It is roomy, the inner lining is plush yet durable, and the locks are a gunmetal alloy that look and feel as if they will last for 40 years. I have been using this briefcase to carry important papers and documents into Vancouver and it still looks brand new after roughly 3 weeks of use. The locks were easy to set and, carrying this beautiful accessory, has caused me to be noticed and smiled at by several lovely women on the skytrain. I am very happy with this purchase!

Great suitcase.But when received, it had a little defect on the corner edge (the sewing or glue of the leather wasnt well done).I did not wamt to return cause it's all a hasle but im scared it gets worse.Otherwise very sturdy and clean professionnel look.
