Delicious sweet and sour sauce that you cannot find in stores any more!

The only sweet and sour sauce for me. Can't find in my local store anymore. A gallon lasts me about a year, has a long expiration date and stays good as long as its refrigerated. Yummy.

Stores where I live central Maine have stopped carring this brand of sweet and sour they have a new type by the same company but it is terrible. So happy to find this even if it's a gallon jug that takes up alot of space.

I give it 5 stars for taste.I loved the little jars that you can't buy anymore.I have to knock a star off for the ingredients - water sugar corn starch shouldn't taste this good! Must be the little bit of pineapple juice. And while it tastes good, something doesn't seem the same as the little jars. It used to "pour" out of those. This large version seems more thick, like jelly.Wish they didn't discontinue this.WISH they didn't discontinue their even better DUCK SAUCE!

I am getting ready to purchase another jug of this sweet and sour sauce. When La Choy changed their sweet and sour sauce recipe, repackaged it and started calling it sweet and sour stir fry sauce they lost me. The new "stir fry" sauce has a much different taste and consistency. I bought my first gallon of this "original" sweet and sour sauce in March 2020 and am just now reordering (at almost double the price arrggghhh.) The sauce has held up well all this time and I am looking forward to keeping the next jug for another 18 months or so. Other reviewers have offered the suggestion to put the sauce in smaller containers and either refrigerate or freeze it which I will do this time. So glad to still be able to get this old favorite.
