Seems OK
Have not had time to use to afix wire and connect poles. Product looks good but can't actually state how good they are yet.

Connect fine with Anderson and non Anderson Powerpole connectors
1. They connect fine with my Anderson and other non Anderson connectors.2. They slide together nice with no biting. As good as Anderson and definitely better than others.3. I had no problem using the proper gauge wire with each connector. No melting as I use the correct wire size and length needed properly address the amperage/current.Seriously, the proper length and size wire cannot be overstated. Use the online calculator at Wirebarn and remember the length is shows in the calculator is one way (one wire), as the ground would typically be at the chassis near the component. If you are going to run both positive and negative wires the same length, you need to take that into account and divide by two.

Great powerpole connectors
I hadn't used this kind of connector much and been more on the XT60 bandwagon. However, after buying these and using them, I might be switching over more. The max wire you are likely to get is a 12 gauge if you want the insulation to fit in the plastic part, but you could do 10 if the jacket is thinner or you strip it back so it won't be inside the plastic connector. Max I personally used is 12 however, but again 10 should be doable. These have connected fine with other powerpole style connectors. Not sure if the others were genuine Anderson ones or not. I will likely order these again when my current box runs low. I lover I don't have to worry about which gender plug it is like I do with XT60's.

Not a good value.
I wrote a detailed review for the 30 Amp style. One, in my opinion would be better to stick with the Anderson brand. Better quality. They won't mate with the Anderson brand. The dovetail portion will only slide about half way together. I tried a small hobby vice as a press, but all I did was break one. The metal of the crimp on portion seems tinny. I'd be afraid of it failing under any kind of current draw, and for emergency preparedness use that is not an option.

Didn't connect to "real" Anderson PowerPoles
As others have noted, will not connect to Anderson Power Poles.I use Andersons on my solar panel for my trailer. I have 4 sets- a pigtail on the panel, two separate extension cords, and a pigtail on the trailer. I was having intermittent connection issues, and metered that the pigtail on the trailer was the culprit. I cut off the existing Anderson, assembled one of these, and the two would not connect. Fit was extremely sloppy, and connectors would not connect. I had to cut off the "connectors" and direct wire the cables together to get power at the campsite. You SHOULD be able to assemble a chain from scratch, using only these, but if you want to connect to "real" powerpoles, I would steer clear. These are going in the trash, and will order only legit Anderson's from now on.
