First off, I am not using this as a camera mount but as a musical backing module which is under 4 pounds but needs to be held at an angle so that I can see the display. I have used other ball heads that proclaim 17 pounds load at 1/3rd the price, but they would just continue slipping down on me. This Besnfoto has a slighly larger ball and clamps a lot tighter and is able to hold my backing module firm. Now, I don't know if it will hold 48 pounds as advertised but I do see that there is a higher quality over the cheaper units. I also know that you can get more expensive Ball Head mounts, but I am quite satisfied with this one and would recommend it. I am not getting any compensation for this review.

Oh, what a pity, I really wanted to like this ballhead. I wanted a replacement for my older ballheads from a bunch of brands but not something that costs an eye like the RRS. This ballhead is nice because it's low, stable, has a smooth movement and great knobs to operate, like when you have gloves.HOWEVER, there is a terrible flaw: the manufacturer put the ball knob on the wrong side, meaning that when you operate the camera with your right hand, the knob is close to you and not on the far side, like it should be. This is uncomfortable. (if you move the knob with your left hand). BTW, this has nothing to do with being lefty or righty, as all cameras have all the controls on the righthand side.In a regular ballhead with a knob that is centered with the ball, this doesn't happen. I find this a terrible oversight hence the 3 stars.

This is a great ball head for the price. I think it is as good or better than others above its price point. The only reason it is not getting 5 stars is because I don't believe it can support the weight it claims. If it does, you would have to really crank down on the clamp. I think 25-30lbs is more realistic but, it works well for me.

I soon will receive my 3rd “ BESNFOTO BX-T2130-2” Ball Head,.. incredible value , top notch design and build, using on two tripods and one monopod, I will pair it with a Wimberley Sidekick Ball to Gimbal Adapter, to give me the ultimate in versatility.It’s rare to find a product so obviously perfect in design and build , at price point a third the amount of other manufacturers.Not to mention the included padded carrying case,…. it’s a sublime purchase don’t pass this up.

I've only had this out a couple of times but I've found it sturdy and smooth, which I consider the minimum requirements for a ball head. Works fine with 5 lbs. of big DSLR and heavy zooms.What I like about it most is its well-thought-out design. Low profile, dual notches, good dampening adjustments. And I really like that every knob is differently shaped and sized. You can find them by feel. No more loosening the dampening when I'm looking for the pan-lock knob.

I really love this ballhead. It's beefy, fairly lightweight, and easy to turn and lock down the levers. Stays in place securely. Even with my heaviest medium format camera/tele lens mounted it's solid as rock. Excellent. Would buy again!
