Cover Your GrayTouch-Up Stick - Medium Brown

This review pertains only to the Touch-Up Stick (not the wand, which I haven't tried). I've used several other products to cover the tell-tale white/gray stripe at my part, which becomes visible about two weeks after I have my hair colored. The other products either didn't really cover the gray or created a weird texture. While I wish this stick came in an auburn color to more closely match my hair, I find that medium brown does a great job of coverage. It doesn't matter so much to me that I have an exact match . . . just that the gray doesn't give away my age. Nice that you don't need to use water or make sure that liquid has properly saturated a wand. The stick is also portable and not at all messy. And it's so inexpensive! I've paid four times as much for a product that worked half as well.

I would give this product five stars except for the fact that if you apply the color directly from the tube to your hair there is a risk of the color breaking off from the tube and it goes on a little too heavy for me. I use a clean mascara brush (you can pick them up free from the beauty counters at most department stores) and without much color exposed from the tube itself, gently rub the mascara brush along the color then apply/sweep it across your hair. This helps blend the color into the hair without using too much and it isn't a heavy glob that will weigh down your hair and make it feel oily. The color itself works well along the root line for between coloring touch ups. I color my hair with medium red and it blends well.

I love Claudia Steven's Temporary Color Touch-Up Stick. I've been using it for years. When you want to look your best but those ugly roots are ruining that option, no worries! It literally takes just a few seconds to apply with instant results. I keep one stick at home one in my purse and always bring it with me when I travel. It can last for days but washes out easily. It is very inexpensive, you get quick results, it's small and easy to carry with you, it's not messy, and you can have it on your doorstep in 2 days with Amazon Prime. It's one of the few products that I can't find a down side to. Love it!

This is very small from what I was expecting. It’s like a lipstick container. The coloring is good

I have used this product before except I bought it at my hair salon. That one worked well. So well, that I decided to buy again except I saw this one online and it was cheaper. But, this one purchased online got all over my hands as soon as I touched my hair lightly, got on my shirt when I pulled it over my head, dripped down the side of my face when I perspired. Awful. Wish I could return it but I didn't pay that much so let's just say its one lesson learned.

I have been using Medium Brown color stick for years and love it. It's the perfect color for me and does the job!! However, my last purchase from Amazon, the Medium Brown colored my hair red. I thought they sent me the wrong color, but when I called the product's customer service, they apologized, refunded my Amazon order and sent me a new one. That was a pleasant surprise. I haven't received the new one yet and won't know if my order was a fluke or the manufacture has changed this color.

This product is great for covering few grays. I've never colored my hair and am at the point where I have to do something. My gray hairs are growing in number. I'm very nervous to color my hair with messy products and thought I would try this first. It's fantastic! It doesn't run down my face if it's raining or if I'm getting wet at the beach or pool. It also doesn't rub off on white pillowcases. It completely washes out with shampoo and needs to be reapplied. For now, this works great for me. It's perfect for that in between place and gives me more time to think about what I'll do next when my grays become too much for this stick.

Yes, the crayon did cover the grey root area, but I got a medium brown and it was very orangey in color. Not natural-looking at all. I have used hair mascara before and that looks more natural. However, the worst part of this product was that after I woke up in the morning I discovered my pillowcase was all colored from the crayon!! What?! So when you put some in your hair you're not supposed to sleep at night?! Go figure. A total waste of my money. Don't waste yours - unless you plan to wash your hair before going to bed at night...
