So, it was perfect for taking our 2 doves on a long trip, but my birds are used to a front door, not a ceiling door… It’s a little tedious for me to have to do everything from the ceiling.I taped paper to the large “windows” of the cage because the doves keep thinking they can escape through it lol, just in case you’re wondering what the blue tape is in my pictures.Also, to carry it, we would need to wrap our arms around it, as if hugging the cage or we need 2 hands to lift the handle on top (see picture).There is no way of holding it like a briefcase unless you’re ok with the cage being wide open from the top, and you’d have to hold the perching wood as a handle. However, it’s kinda heavy, so I can understand why 2 hands are needed.I guess I’m used to holding a cage with one hand free and having an easily accessible front door for the birds, but overall, it was great size for 2 doves and for traveling.

The big negative was that the food / bath openings DON'T have the wire/clip closures, as shown in the pictures - they have flimsy, unattached plastic shields that don't hold tight - that caused my rating for Travelling and Overall. I had to find feeders that covered the entire openings, so I got bird baths with latches at the top (for safe closure) - pictured. The ones without were covered with a plastic shield and bunge for security.Assembly and Sturdiness rating has to do with 2 Acrylic walls - they are not thick, as expected. The Very small cups are thin plastic (and inaccessible, except to a finch).I like the bottom and slide-out tray, and the tops stay open best if you have the perch between them.

Disliked instructions it took me 4 hours with help to figure out what pieces needed to be done first. Amazon set up a bit more helpful but again doors upwards facing I steady of sideways to place.

This did work for 3 days while we moved house. The feed doors are a plastic clip that breaks off easily. By the time we moved the feed doors had broken off and we were using tape to hold them in place. I would not recommend this cage. I should have just bought a cat kennel and used that,

I gave this product an overall low rating primarily because of one thing. It came with plastic covers/doors for the food/accessories openings instead of wire doors which are shown in the product images. The plastic is hard acrylic and if the spring tab that keeps it closed or the hard plastic hinges should snap off, then you’d have a gaping hole in the cage. The wire doors as shown would be much sturdier and hold up better during food/water changes.Fortunately I will only be using the cage as occasional transport to the vet or for quarantine, but I’m really disappointed in the quality.

I was a little nervous to purchase after reading some reviews of how hard it is to assemble BUT it is definitely not hard at all. I was able to do it by myself within 15 minutes. As far as the foggy windows someone definitely forgot to take off the protective film off of BOTH sides cause my husband literally came home and thought there was nothing there and it is crystal clear! I absolutely am happy I made this purchase and that my small birdie has a new upgrade at home!

Took me around 2 hours to fully assemble the cage I couldn’t believe how hard it was!! One side did not fit properly, I was not able to finish putting the 2 clips on the bottom so just left it alone hoping it stays put. It does look beautiful when finished. I’ll be back with an update
