HESHS Allen & Roth Valdosta 20-in Oil-Rubbed Bronze Outdoor Downrod Mount Ceiling Fan

We first came across this fan at Lowe's, prominently on display under a large gazebo in the outdoor furniture area. Harbor Breeze branding. We almost bought it, for $120, but we always look to Amazon before buying. We found a fan on Amazon that appeared identical but with a different foreign-sounding brand name......$85!!. We purchased it from Amazon. It arrived today, in a clean, new box from Harbor Breeze. Exact same fan.... The fan is fairly heavy and seems to be very well made. It does NOT have a remote but, oddly, it came with a nice 16' tape measure packed inside. We put up a 12x18 aluminum gazebo (Purple Leaf) with three hanging loops at the top. We hung a fan at each end with a light in the center. The fans look great (blend well with our black/slate color gazebo), move a lot of air, hang from the gazebo loop with an included carabiner clip (super easy), and are fairly quiet even when on the high setting. Amazon asked for a review of the remote, but these do not come with a remote. We purchased a separate outdoor rated extension cord with three outlets and ran it along the edges of the gazebo so that it can reach an exterior outlet when we want to plug them in. We just set them on high so that all we have to do is plug in or out for turning them on or off. We're glad we made these a part of our outdoor experience!

These are so easy to install. The long cord with the plug already attached and a hook / clip to hang it from couldn’t make these any easier to mount. I have bought several of these and they are great for the porch. My favorite is the one I hung right over my grill. No matter how hot the weather or grill is, I can stand there all day in comfort. My wife loves the look of them so much, I mounted one in our greenhouse and inside our little guesthouse. I know there are for outdoors, but they look awesome anywhere. I’m not an expert on CFM’s, but these little fans kick down some air! I’ve installed much larger ceiling fans on patios and they don’t compare to how well these perform.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was lack of remote. I have it hanging at the top of my Gazebo and it is over 8" off the ground, so changing the speeds and turning it off is a bit of an issue. I have used an outlet that is remote controlled and I can at least turn it on and off. The fan has turned many 90 degree days into a tolerable event sitting outside under the Gazebo. It moves the air well and actually gets very cool after awhile. We have also noticed with the fan our mosquito issue is greatly reduced. Additional info - having had the fan outside for almost 2 years now it has held up extremely well. Works each time, added a remote plug to turn it on and off when wanted. Looks as good as when we bought it. Ignore the CD hanging from it, we have had multiple bird issues and they seem to be scaring them away. Also have bird guards on top to keep the birds from nesting.

The Good: This stylish, durable looking and relatively quiet fan makes a huge difference and was a (ahem) breeze to install. It is currently 81 °F and humidity at 64% makes it feel more like 85 °F. With the fan on high, I am not only comfortable but even cool. The speed is high enough to keep mosquitoes from being able to fly. The Bad: The fan isn’t equipped with a remote so you will need a step ladder to change the speeds. Also, for those looking for a light, it doesn’t have one. Despite these limitations, it brings me joy.

love this fan. it's really well made. it's under my deck cover now. didn't come with the fisheye hook but didn't expect to. right out of the box works great. quiet and 3 settings. no wiring it's just plugs into the wall jack. long cord and quality. Awesome fan. highly recommend it.

I have a screened in porch and some days it gets too hot to sit out there. I've been talking for years about putting a ceiling fan out there, and this year during Prime Day I finally did! This fan is exactly what I was looking for, easy to install (I did it by myself in about 20 minutes), creates a great breeze, and looks fabulous! It's also relatively quiet - you obviously hear a fan, but it's not loud. VERY happy with this purchase!

Works great Buy or install a inline switch because the switch it comes with is on the fan and you will need a ladder to turn on and off or just in plug it

It was easy to setup and easy to put away for the winter.

We use it in our Gazebo, works great and keeps it very cool and comfortable.

Fan needs to have a remote and the ability to be reversed. Once installed it is difficult to reach as it is used at the top of the gazebo to move or circulate the air. The controls for fan speed are I a poor spot in my opinion.

Unless your directly under it you will not feeling it
