The rubber seal is a bit cheaply made but functional. I worry if it will dry out in a few years. But the jar is VERY well made, and holds the bajillion stevia gummy bears I put in it proudly next to my other "buffet" (so fancy!) snacks liked smoked almonds and such. I think it's worth the price. You get what you pay for. Am I a bit cranky at the price? Sure.
