Second Review, happier now that we have it for our son
I had originally written a review stating how upset and disappointed we were that they kept changing the arrival on shipment. They never notified us that they changed the shipping date, and so our son got his "big gift" late for his 4th bday.Well we finally got Mobi, and so far it has been a hit. Honestly, my 2 year old daughter is the one that plays with it most, but my 4 year old son and 6 year old daughter love him as well. They usually pull him out once a day and play red light green light. My oldest plays the animal sounds game and mobi says game.Overall, this is a great gift, I don't know if it was 120 bucks great, but my kids are happy so mom and dad are happy. And like I had stated in my original post, I know the world is going to hell in a hand basket ... But at least a heads up on late shipping would have been nice.

We can hardly hear it?!
We love this robot BUT we can hardly hear it! We changed the batteries but it made no difference. For the cost, that is very disappointing. But it is perfect in every other way. I just wish we didn't have to hold our breath and listen every time it spoke. Maybe ours isn't quite right???

3yr old boy loves to play along with this robot.
Pros:Has 2 volume settings!Works on our carpet with fresh batteries.keeps toddler occupied with red light/green light, tag, and animal noise games.Cons:Needs room or will runs into furniture often and needs to be moved, but toddler seems to enjoy doing that himself.

Perky and Pleasant
Just arrived. And it's adorable. I think it's pretty progressive. We ordered it early for Christmas, because it seemed like something that might be out of stock if I waited much longer. We're going to ship it up north to the grandbaby at the beginning of December. If you've seen the commercial for this item on television, it works just as you see it there. It's real perky, and pleasant in terms of the sounds it makes. We haven't taken it out of the box because it's a gift. But you can check it out even when it's still packed because they allow you access to the buttons. It wasn't cheap, but it probably wouldn't be as good as it is if it was much cheaper.

Limited variations on play and demands floor space
Based upon the success of the Fisher-Price Code-a-Pillar I gave this toy a try. It's cute. It blinks and can grab interest. However, this toy fails on two big counts which limit the long-term usability as an interactive play experience for children:1. The toy has no impact detection and when it hits a wall or furniture the response will elicit either fear or frustration in your child as it literally grinds its gears driving itself into the obstacle. This is what really killed the toy for us given that the toy recommends a 5 foot diameter but really demands at least twice that if you're going to play with it longer than a few minutes without relocating the toy to the center of the play area.2. The number of play combinations/options is surprisingly limited. The number of play options/combinations available in this robot will be exhausted in as little as a single session of play. Unless your toddler latches onto one of those games fondly (Simon says, tag, or parroting the voice) there will be little replay or variability left.Read and believe reviews downplaying the value of the tag game (the motions and button response of the robot are too slow) or the ability of the robot to be understood. Even if you had a big enough area to offset the first problem, there's still a chance that the second problem will relegate this toy to the pile of other forgotten interactive toys.
