Great for weighing those Great catches you want to know the exact weight of. Also grips and holds the fish securely by the mouth. Haven't had a fish come off yet. Only issue I've noticed is when u first turn it on you need to make sure ur holding it by the gripped handle or the digital screen and keep it vertical without moving it. It can take a few moments to calibrate once u turn it on if you are moving it around in ur hand causing u to either turn it off and try again or stand still hoping it will calibrate. But overall it's accurate and holds fish of nearly any size securely. Mainly used for weighing small/large mouth bass, perch and anything else I can safely grab properly by its jaw. Glad I purchased and when it eventually fails will buy again.

Well made item which works perfectly as described. However the lanyard seems to be an afterthought in the design. An actual hole or clip to attach a lanyard would have been a better option.

Works as expected only used once since I bought it at the end of season. Tested it with a 10 lbs weight weighed 1ounce off .
