I'm going to a Halloween party at my church in a couple of weeks. Oh i'm 69 years old and my wand came on time and in perfect condition. It was exactly what I wanted.If this particular wand is not what you want, there seems to be dozens of different ones.The ward was definitely solid wood, although I thought it would have been alittle heavier.If your thinking of buying one of these wands? Don't hesitate, BUY one or two today !! I know the one that I got was definitely worth it. I know yours will be too !!

Contrary to what some other reviews have said, this wand is made out of genuine wood and hand carved. But the beauty of the wood is greatly obscured by the decision to cover it in a thick layer of entirely too much latex paint, which obscures the wood grain and the carvings and makes it feel plasticky. Half an hour with some steel wool took off the thickest of that layer of paint so that some of the wood grain started to show through while leaving most of the color, which greatly improved its appearance. Ideally, though, the manufacturer would have been stained and perhaps finished with a satin polyurethane finish instead of the wholly inappropriate latex paint. If they fixed that one issue, this would be a 5-star product.

For anyone concerned whether it's wood or plastic, I am happy to report that it is wood! I was skeptical but thought it would be a fun wall decoration if plastic. I was very glad to discover it is wood. It's wonderfully light and the details are just as good as shown in the photos.I do recommend using oil to give it a more shiny appearance, but that's a personal choice.

I love these wands. I’ve ordered one before and I just love the style and craftsmanship of it. You can tell they put a lot of effort into these and are very economical with the cost. The only downside is my local post office kind of shoved it into the box and it snap in the packaging. Unfortunate but it’s the USPS fault. Luckily I’ve got the right compound to mend it right away. Crisis averted. I’ll be ordering another again because I just love this style of wand. Huge collector here and dabble in making wands myself. Can’t wait to put in my next order to add to the collection!! Highly recommend

There are a lot of sellers selling this particular item on Amazon, and it is always advertised as being wood, but reading the reviews, often it turns out that the item is actually a resin cast knock-off, so I was a little wary about getting it. But some of the reviews for this one did mention that it was wood, and when checking the info, I saw that it was made in Vietnam, not China, so I decided to go for it (I live in New Zealand, so sending things back to the US if they aren't right, is a nightmare).It arrived today, and I am very happy with it. It definitely is wood, making perfectly suitable for its intended use. Woodwork is not my fortè, so I would rather pay to have a nice item and consecrate it to use, than have a half-assed travesty of my own making, lol. Very happy to recommend this seller.
