Good for playing tricks.
These can definitely pass as a dog accident, if placed right. The first time my wife tried to get me she put it too close to our undersink kitchen cabinets and slightly under the overhang. There was no way a dog could get that angle without getting the cabinets. We still randomly put it around the house for a laugh.

Fake poo probably should not be soft.
I bought this poo specifically to test our new Roomba vacuum cleaner and it totally was up for the task. We also enjoy leaving it everywhere which is an even more positive thing to do to your spouse. It fakes me out every time I see it on my desk. Thanks poo people!.

It is fairly small, maybe like a Chiwawa poop. Bigger would be better.

Good for hiding keys
Like many people, I find it comforting to know I can get into my house even if I lock my keys inside. I taped a house key to the bottom of this and left it in some dirt in my back yard. I don't think anyone looking for a hidden key will be picking it up any time soon.
