Monster High Ari Hauntington Doll

I am one of the fans who was NOT a big fan of the new re-vamp of Monster High, and I still am still having a hard time getting used to the new changes but I absolutely love Ari. I have been excited for her since she was revealed last year at Toy Fair. She is soooo gorgeous in person and is an instant favorite of mine. She's a lot like spectra which makes me worried spectra may not be in the revamp.Her accessories look red in the pictures but they're actually like a translucent purple. The pictures really don't do her justice. The one complaint I have is no stand... Very annoyed by that but that's a Mattel issue not doll issue.

This is going to be a cookie-cutter review of all the Monster High Dolls and Accessories I purchased.Daughter loves all of her Monster High dolls and accessories she got for her birthday, and this parent is glad he did have to pay too much for them. Some of the dolls have joints in their limbs, others don't, little one doesn't care, she's happy to play with them all. I'm just glad there's an alternative to your typical barbie doll out there.

My grand daughter love it she actually wrote a letter to Santa asking for those monster high Dolls. When she opened the present she forgot for the rest of presents😂😂😂

I love my First Day of School Ari Hauntington. She's very cute, fully articulated, and her accessories are great. Heads up though, her accessories are more pinkish than the red in the picture shows. Her hair is gorgeous. Her face looks so sweet! It's a good quality doll.

Note: I bought this doll to customize so I wasn't concerned with accessories or clothes. I won't really mention them here, except to say the image of the doll on the purchase page has been retouched to turn up the red values. All of the red tones you see in the photo will be much more muted in person (hence all the reviewers who say her accessories are magenta and not red).★ PROS:• HAIR: The doll has a nice quality hair, much better than I was expecting, and the color is truly stunning. I customized her, so I cut all this off (but it was a hard thing to do). I ended up keeping the hair I cut off because I like it so much; it's not as red as the photo, more of a muted midtone violet. It's been well mixed with some other softer pastel pinkish-violets and bluish-violets that give a lot of depth to the color.• ARTICULATION: The doll has articulation at the shoulders, legs, elbows, wrists, and knees. She has a nice range of motion, especially for a doll of this price.• MOLDING: These dolls have a higher quality / more artistic body sculpt than you would see on, for example, a Barbie doll. This is mostly a plus, however if you're buying as a toy know that the hands have very tiny, delicate fingers which could be easily bent or broken (if you're buying for kiddos).★ CONS:• COLORING: As others have noted, this doll may arrive with some parts which seem to be made of a different plastic than the rest of the body. Mine has a beautiful opalescent white tone, except her forearm parts are a chalky opaque yellow color that does not match the rest of the doll. These lower arm parts also seem to be made of a cheaper, more brittle plastic. If I were not changing her skin color, I would have been pretty disappointed at this.• DEFECTS: They happen... it's a mass-produced toy. Mine came with a scratch on her face. It would have been impossible to disguise if I weren't repainting her.• STAND: She doesn't come with a stand, but it's hard to complain at this price point.• STRUCTURE: It hasn't happened with this particular doll, but this line does tend to sometimes not anchor the forearms or hands as well as they might, and these can sometimes fall off or break at the joints.★ NOTES:• Overall coloring: The doll is not as see-through as the seller's image suggests. In fact, she is pretty opaque, but she does have a very slight transparency compared to other dolls of this type.★ CONCLUSION:Not perfect, but pretty close to it considering the price. I would absolutely buy this doll again (and probably will)!

This Doll was a great price, was delivered on time and my Granddaughter loved it. However, instead of the red boots and purse, they came in a pink colour !

The doll is very pretty, this is the first yr my 6 yr old has really asked for Monster High Dolls so I can't vouch for how well made they used to be, but after several days of playing with this doll her arm broke off at the elbow. She doesn't play too rough with her dolls, they all still have their hair fixed and clothes on. I've been buying Barbie type dolls ever since I was a child and have never had this happen so quickly to any other doll. We're gonna try to super glue her arm back together and tell my daughter to be very careful with her from now on, hopefully this won't happen to any of the other Monster High Dolls that Santa brought her.

Ari is a beautiful doll. Her accessories are not red they are pink but I pink looks better on her! I reccomend highly!
