Works well, smell isn't bad
I bought them to put under my Midea Duo portable air conditioner, because when it starts up, it creates a really deep sound that shakes the house and rattles plates in cabinets. I tried putting it on a pair of thick wool socks, thinking it may help, but it didn't. These anti vibration pads completely eliminate the problem, and seem to make it quieter all the time.I put them under the wheels of the AC unit, and while it's not the most sturdy, you can definitely roll it off of the pads, they also have no problem staying on the pads if you just leave them there. It would be better with caster cups, but it's fine without them.I heard a lot of people had problems with the smell. When I got them, they definitely smelled like rubber. I didn't test if they'd stink up the room as they came. I left them outside for a day in a somewhat shaded area (the shade couldn't be helped) and then sprayed them down with Ozium. The still smell like rubber, and it's hard to tell if the methods I employed did anything at all, but regardless, they don't smell strong enough to be smelt from a distance.

Highly Recommended, Solved My Problem.
I'm a sound engineer recently got an apartment in the last floor in 8-floors building and 8 big AC machines exactly on the top of my apartment, the low frequencies and vibrations were passing through the ceiling to all the rooms in my apartment, even with the cork pads installed originally by the contractor under each machine. I've tried installing sound sheets with 50mm cork panels, but this didn't solve my problem, actually made it worse. Finally ordered these pads and cannot imagine how big the difference is between them and the other cork pads, these have solved the problem almost 90%. I still hear a verrrry little low frequencies with NO VIBRATIONS AT ALL. but cannot confirm if the last 10% noise are coming from the same 8 machines I worked on or some other far machines on the roof. I highly recommend these pads, you will never regret buying them. I'm going to order again to try adding another layer or put on other far machines.Thank God I found them.

Good read till the end
All I have to say are... these work great! I used these in an unusual way. I had two of them, as the other two were being used and stuck them under my pillow. It totally stopped the vibrations coming to my head, which was what was keeping me up. It added a bit of support to my pillow too. Finally got a much needed rest. 😌 You can get these for a few dollars cheaper from other sellers, so I suggest getting them there. These sellers like to make it seem this item is always low in stock to get buyers to fell the need to purchase quickly I noticed. One of mine smelt like nicotine smoke. 😮🤭🤢 Only reason I ordered from here is because they sell to Alaska! Another thing and a tip, if they smell weird, chemically, they are fake and return them.

Helps to eliminate vibrations when placed under legs of bed frame
I can't be sure if it was this that improved my sleep, but I can say that when I combined this with another and put it under the legs of my bed frame, I have felt like I have been able to sleep easier. It did not solve my sleep problems entirely, but I have definitely been sleeping deeper.Although I was still able to feel some vibrations from cars with extremely loud mufflers in the distance (which is the main cause of continually waking up every night, even though those mufflers are illegal in my state), but noticeably less vibration, in fact it has mostly eliminated vibrations when combined with another type under the legs of my bed.I am very pleased with the quality and durability of this item. I would consider stacking several to see if that has a better reduction in vibration, but I would definitely recommend this product as the current price. About $12 or so for 4 of them is a reasonable price, not a fantastic deal, but worth what I paid for it.

I like them! They saved my machines!
Purchased these because my new front load washer is on a pedestal and was rocking and walking, though it was level. The rocking was so bad I’m the machine would not complete the cycle. One of the installers suggested anti-vibration pads. I found these and saw in the reviews that they could manage the weight of heavy machines.1. They do have a strong odor when unwrapped.2. They are strong and lighter than anticipated.3. I like that they’re square. Though it’s not pretty under my machine they work well and my machine completes its cycle.4. Installing them on my own was easy. I could tilt the machine and slides these under the feet with my foot.5 though they are anti slip as well, on certain floors it’s till easy to adjust the machines feet

Small apartment w/ illegal washer and dryer (and spinner)? GET THESE! Your neighbors won’t hear a thing!
We have AWFUL PEOPLE as downstairs neighbors. The woman literally pounds on her ceiling/my floor if I just tap a wooden spoon on the side of a pot on the stove, or WALK a little too loudly for her taste. Thank goodness we don’t have toddlers running around anymore. She’d stroke out. Lol - And, no, her husband doesn’t help because he’s apparently whipped by her. I was extremely nervous when we decided to embrace our rebellious sides, and install small, and a very illegal washer and dryer. I bought these square rubber “feet” for both, plus for a spinner that spins at 3600rpm (get that people, seriously. It takes 5 minutes and will cut your dryer time IN HALF. Everyone with a washer and dryer should have one! All of my “no dry” stuff used to take overnight to dry, but after spinning them, they’re dry in about two hours flat, sometimes less!)Anyway, back to these amazing little, magical, sound-erasing rubber feet. We haven’t been reported for our rebel-ness, and we haven’t had ONE boom-boom on our floor from a broom handle, even when I ran a load of “dog puked in the bed” sheets, at 3am one night! They absolutely, 100% cannot hear anything, and our floors are thin! These are sooo great. I’m planning to put them under my sewing table and under the feet of all three entertainment units in our apartment. I’m sure I’ll think of more things too.

Built great and had high hopes but didn't work for my intended purpose
Our Maytag Neptune front loading washer/dryer on the second floor, it has always been a minor source of irritation for years. Well, after a recent control board failure on the dryer (which wasn't that big of a deal to repair DYI, if you have some basic tool knowlege), it got the ball rolling to check out the washer as well since it tended to walk around almost every time it was used. Checking out the bottom of the washer, we found there was some minor water leaking from somewhere. So one thing lead to another and the washer ended up with its panels removed and looking for the source of the leak. Its times like these that makes one finally address the other problems. I found that the installer placed two self stick foam pads on the front legs in an effort to keep it from skidding across the floor. Well, 9 years later, the foam pads had completely compressed and wore smooth on the bottom which did not help the washer walking. Removing them was the first item. Also, I found the washer wasn't level. This should be the first thing everyone should check before attempting to install vibration pads. So out with the bubble level, a couple of wrenches, and a few minutes lying on the ground will get you situated.I cleaned the vinyl floors of dust and wiped it as clean as possible before installed these pads. At first inspection, these pads are well made and sturdy. I don't see them compressing much over time like a simple foam rubber disk. The top and bottom layer are black rubber ridges and should provide some grip on the floor AND the metal foot of the washer. It helps to have a helper when installing these. One person to tilt the washer forward so access the rear feet and backwards to place the front. After placing them under the washer, I gave it a good shake and it FELT more secure and when trying to move or twist the washer, it felt much more planted. I was confident this would be the answer.Well, after the first laundry load, It was quieter during the normal wash / rinse cycles but the washer moved a few inches once it reached the spin cycle. Disappointed to say the least. Upon closer inspection the smooth bottom of the round metal feet was slipping on the rubber pad. If this pad had a recess like some of the cup shaped ones, I think half the problem would be solved. The other problem? The pads did not grip the vinyl flooring well. If it was on concrete, I would say this would grip better.PROS: very solid construction and damped vibrations well. Much improved noise reduction. Simple to install. Good size.CONS: no divot or cup indentation to center the appliance foot. But I would imagine this would be a negative for other uses such as a table saw. The rubber does not grip well on semi smooth surfaces such as vinyl or tile.OVERALL: for my intended use as a damper and anti-walk solution, these pads did not meet my expectations and will be returning them. I think if it was going under a work bench, table saw, or air compressor on a rough surface like concrete, I can see these doing an great job.

These work
I recently moved to an upstairs apartment.I have a portable LG all-in-one front loading washer/dryer. I bought it on Craigslist used 12 years ago. It works great. It washes and dries like a champ.Except... I had never tried to use it in an upstairs spartment before. Even though I had carefully balanced the machine, my powerful washer felt (and sounded like) like an earthquake when the spin cycle was on. My whole apartment including the walls shook. 🫨I purchased and tried a couple of solutions to try to reduce the vibration and noise but they really didn't do much. However, happily, I tried these pads last night. THEY WORK!!! No more earthquake. My neighbors won't hate me. I have seen similar pads to these for 3 times the price and didn't really want to spend $40+. Now I know I don't need to. I highly recommend these pads.
