Not to be missed.
This is a great story, hard to believe there is only 260 pages with so much going on. Giving Martha her own story was brilliant. The ten year gap added to the story and no doubt sets the scene for the next book. Now I come to the part I did not like. Yes it said this was book one, but no where did it say it never ended in this story. I have only read a few of this author's work, enough to know who Martha was. But in these other books there were no cliff hangers. To be honest I would have waited until both books were out to be able to read the full story. Please don't say there are more than two books. I would recommend anyone to read this story, but if I am honest, get both at the same time, that way you won't be ripping your hair out waiting for the ending.

An interesting fairytale - romantic but with a storyline too
This first book in the series is a really interesting new adult fairy story. It's a great read and I really enjoyed it. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes adult fairytales with a bit of romantic action in them, as well as a real storyline too. I'm looking forward to reading book two to find out what happens next!

A dead king and a drunk hooker, what could possibly go wrong?
This was a great story which I couldn't put down.I've not read any of the authors books before and I know Martha was introduced in an earlier series but it didn't feel like I had to read the others first as everything was pretty self explanatory. This book was full of twists and turns and magic. Will certainly be reading book two after that cliff hanger.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Brilliant Read
It’ll take more than a wish to help this fairy godmother find her own happy ever after. When Martha, tired of working as a fairy of pleasure, uses illegal magic to bring two lovers together, she’s caught by a fae inquisitor and dragged before the Seelie court. She’s sure to be stripped of her magic if she’s convicted.Lucky for her, she’s got some time before she goes to trial—she has forty days to save herself from the court’s judgment.Only true love can protect her from losing her magic forever. But the man she loved, the Fae King, died years ago.So what’s a fairy to do? Wave her wand and make a wish? That’s far too dangerous—not to mention illegal. But all magic comes at a price. She just has to decide if it’s one she’s willing to pay.The Fae King stars reader favorite, Martha, and is set in the magical world of The Vampire King. Readers, who enjoy magical fairy tale retellings, will love this steamy take of a fairy godmother’s search for more than a happy ever after. This is a brilliant read.Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Can't wait to read more of these.Recommend reading.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
