A great product for the very hard to motivate child. Doing homework is a constant fight with my 8 year old. He loves Minecraft so it’s a bit easier to get him to do this work. •A bit easier • not easy. I think because Minecraft is something he thinks is fun and it is familiar to him and it holds his interest more it is possible that he feels more confident he will succeed at knowing the answers so he is more willing to try solving these problems.

Do not buy if you've bought The Great Big Fun Workbook for Minecrafters. Literately the same content (same page numbers even) just different covers, which is super annoying. Overall a great workbook though, which is why I'm giving it at least 3 stars.

We are new-to-homeschooling our second grader. I got a lovely Highlights 2nd grade workbook for him, but it's like pulling teeth to get him to focus on anything but the hidden picture games and mazes. I decided to try this book to see if the Minecraft theme would help and his response has been amazing. He instantly sat down and worked though four different kinds of word puzzles and a couple picture-based puzzles. The next day he did a whole page of math problems. Somehow the same kind of problems or exercises are fun and interesting when they are Minecraft themed.This book is huge, much more content than I expected. It covers a really nice variety of subjects, with lots of games and puzzles to keep it interesting. The stuff that's easier for him is still interesting enough to get him engaged, which is good for reviewing since the end of first grade was all, you know, COVID crazy. And we can work up to the more challenging stuff.I am so glad I found this book. Well worth the $10. I'd recommend it to anyone with a Minecraft-loving kid.
