Excellent old book
I wanted an owner’s manual for the basic stuff. This is more for a professional mechanic DIY book but I had an issue with my car since I returned it and realized it may have been helpful as well. I did get my owners manual elsewhere and was pleased with the basics I learned about my car but realize this would’ve been helpful in learning a few things mechanics already know before taking my car to their shop. I might order it again as a permanent reference tool to make sure I’m not being scammed. It had more information than I thought I could use because I just needed the basics for upkeep and general knowledge.

A Good manual for Panther Platforms
What I like is it covers one of the most common and durable cars out there which is why while it was rebodied in the 90s and had some updates it was essentially the same platform in service for 32 years and likely will be on the road for at least another 32 years. What I dislike is that it doesn't have chapters for popular modifications such as Coyote and Transmission swaps and upgrades between models and generations but that is minor it does give you the basics to keep these on the road for long into the electric era if not longer.

Great book to have, from your first lunker car to your newest & best friend- the car that you depend on.
Great book to have, from your first lunker car to your newest & best friend- the car that you depend on.My Stepson just turned 17 & inherited that magic formula of a car. One owner, meticulously kept, low mileage, a police interceptor. Just got his first job, Junior in high school, we'll see...This book will be his first taste of real car ownership, besides all the insurances, fees, licensing & pesky things like fluids, fuel & tires, not to mention the enemy of all-The infamous "Check Engine Light".Luckily, stepmother & real dad are car people, I work part time at Daytona Speedway..his dad has the BEST gadgets I can get him, especially for car codes reading... So ahead he is in the repairs dept. So now its a learning process. And this is one of the foundarion books that will lead him there.

Great for the money
Wonderful book. The main problem is that it does not include P71 Police cars. If your car is not Police equipped you will be OK.

It's missing fuse panel information.
I now have four Haynes manuals in my collection covering three vehicles I own & my recent acquisition. I find them to be informative in most aspects & specific in some very important areas.Ordering was easy & delivery came a little earlier than predicted. My only complaint is this is the only one that contains no information on the fuse panels, only a general discussion on fuses.
