Abena's Foam Dressing with Adhesive Border is a hydrophilic polymer with a three-dimensional foam structure that is processed by the latest technological advancements to quickly absorb wound exudate and help maintain a moist wound healing environment. The low-profile adhesive border is shower-proof and helps prevent exudate leakage. The dressing is designed to not stick to the wound and help minimize user's discomfort upon removal. INDICATED FOR: Light to heavily exuding wounds, Pressure ulcers, Leg and foot ulcers, Traumatic wounds and skin tears, Surgical wounds, Graft and donor sites, Burns (1st and 2nd degree).

Updated review
These dressings have 2 protective sides. You also need to remove the clear plastic on the top of the bandage. I didn't notice this on the first one I used so it was stiff and didn't conform to the skin. After making this correction these are fine dressings. The pad is thicker that on any of the other brands I have tried but isn't taky like the others.

Adhesive is similar to packaging tape and is NOT flexible.
I thought that these bandages would be great. They checked off a lot of the boxes, adhesive border, foam dressing, 7 day wear, etc. However, the adhesive is similar to packaging tape and will not stick for more than a few moments. When I got out of the shower, the one thing I wanted to avoid was getting my scab wet, despite this appearing to be open only on the bottom, the foam had adsorbed the water from my shower and destroyed the scab that was healing nicely. I do not recommend these at all.

You need three hands to use this
There are no instructions included and from what I have experienced, you really can't use these on your own so make sure you have someone else who can help you with it.

Ok for flat wound areas
Good for open area flat wounds. Does m or last more than 24 hours in a crease or foldover area of skin unless you add tape to the boarders.

Form dressing
The were used as an alternative to the ones the physical therapy pta would put on my breast abscess they were very comfortable would cover the wound area and was stick good to the skin they said waterproof but i really never tried to submerge my wound/ bandages in water. Form dressing was a plus in my book.

Cushy bandage, great price, tricky application
These bandages are nice and cushy, used for pressure sores. Be sure you know how to apply them. They are bordered by tegaderm, which can be tricky. You have to peel the white backing off, then apply to area, then peel off under layer with blue strips. You will mess up at least one!! But the price makes up for that.

Poorly designed
This dressing poorly sticks and cones off in a matter of minutes.
