Great film

This is a gem I never thought I would get the chance to watch it from start to finish it's another one of those hard to find movies so grateful to amazon.com that they had it in stock and I recommend everyone to watch this movie to see how prisoners survived in prison camps during the 2nd world war. A masterpiece. Robert.

It was better than I thought, maybe some of the scenes and the weapons could have been done better. The acting was very good and the plot was a good one.

Rousing story of French soldiers defeated by the German invaders in 1940. They are forced in Prisoner of War camps and suffer abuse. A few escape the prison and make their way to freedom and continue the fight with free french forces. A good story and cast.

The Cross of Lorraine, the free french army fighting the Germans. Too slow, too talky sometimes. Kelly playsa stubborn soldier, who is often too stupid than stubborn. Aumont is pretty good, but Lorre, the executive ofthe prison camp, is wonderful bad. That's why you should see this movie.

Our family wanted to see the movie because we have relatives in Alsace Lorraine. The stars in the movie were outstanding and the movie brought back memories of the war.

This movie is so very well writen, and the stars are the best. You have a some what over dramtic portrail of the germans and the french for that matter, but the storiy is gripping and hard to walk away in the middle of.

Very good film. I liked it.
