Not as good as I thought
I dont know if it's the product or me not knowing how to use it properly but I would sprinkle it on the ice and it wouldn't melt it. I'm going to have to look at those electric warming mats for outside.

Works but expensive
bought 5 of these on deep discount from a brick and mortar. was going to buy more but not going to pay the $41 price indicated (middle of winter, high demand, i get it)5 stars for paw friendly3 stars for average effectivenessThe product works. but don't expect it to work as well as the brands that are harsher on the paws. You are going to need to use a more focused spread (application) which means you end up using more for less coverage area. You can use a spreader device like a seed spreader for larger areas but in my opinion that spreads it too thin and it is much less effective. which ultimately makes this a fairly expensive option. The reason this is so safe on the paws is that this is the ONLY product I found that has absolutely has no salt or chloride. The sole ingredient listed is UREA CAS #57-13-6 which according to what I have found is....(CAPITALIZATION IS BY ME AND HIGHLIGHTS WHAT I FOUND IMPORTANT)Urea, also known as carbamide, is an organic compound with chemical formula CO(NH2)2. This amide has two –NH2 groups joined by a carbonyl (C=O) functional group.Urea serves an important role in the metabolism of nitrogen-containing compounds by animals and is the main nitrogen-containing substance in the urine of mammals. It is a colorless, odorless solid, highly soluble in water, AND IS PRACTICALLY NON TOXIC (LD50 is 15 g/kg for rats).[5] Dissolved in water, it is neither acidic nor alkaline. The body uses it in many processes, most notably nitrogen excretion. The liver forms it by combining two ammonia molecules (NH3) with a carbon dioxide (CO2) molecule in the urea cycle. Urea is WIDELY USED IN FERTILIZERS AS A SOURCE OF NITROGEN and is an important raw material for the chemical industry. It is a "A non-corroding alternative to rock salt for road de-icing.[16] It is often the main ingredient of pet friendly salt substitutes although it is less effective than traditional rock salt or calcium chloride.[17]"So, bottom line, it is the safest thing on the paws I could find, but expensive and not as effective as other products. Its up to you as to what you are willing to sacrifice.

spreads super easy and melts fast
This is super easy to spread right from the container it comes in! It also melts ice very quickly and it seems to stay around and last longer than other ice melts I've used in the past!

Works great
Have used this several times with no complaints. The cats don’t complain about it either. 🤗

Good purchase
This does the job of melting frozen surfaces, but more importantly, it is safe for our two little dogs paws!

The easiest ice melt to use
The pellet form of these ice melt materials make them extremely easy to apply and sweep away. They never clump together making them very easy to spread evenly over the surface to be protected from ice and snow

Damaged and half empty
Item arrived with a damaged/broken container that allowed half of the product to spill out. And due to small cracks/holes in the Amazon box the spilled product did not stay in the box.
