This Is An Excellent Interesting Book On China's Culture.
This is an excellent interesting book. I enjoyed reading this book because I learned some new facts that I did not know before reading this book. Some of the interesting information in this book include the following information: Tipping is generally not part of the culture in China, although there are some exceptions. If you leave a tip at a restaurant in China and walk out of the restaurant, in most cases, you will be chased after by the staff with the money that they believe you may have forgotten to take with you when you left. China's social media system, We Chat, is flourishing in China. Many shops in China are open seven days a week, from about 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and sometimes even later. When Chinese tourists come to Europe, they complain about the limited hours of the shops they have come to patronize. The Chinese people do not usually eat dessert although fresh fruit may be eaten after the main meal. Alcohol is used for toasts, but few Chinese people are heavy alcohol drinkers.

Love this guide
This book packs a punch. If you’re looking for an up-to-date primer on Chinese culture and the Chinese people today – look no further (trust me, I’ve got the bookshelf to prove it!). China is not a simple place to understand, particularly if you’ve only visited once or twice. Having travelled there a few times over the years, I’ve often left with questions that this book has gone a long way to answering and I feel well equipped for my next visit, hopefully not too long from now. The breadth of topics covered in the book is impressive and it’s well written – the author clearly knows her stuff. Well done Culture Smart!

Au départ mon achat était motivé par une affectation en Chine de ma fille. C'est elle qui me là commandé. Elle est bien satisfaite du contenu.

Bought this for a colleague who was moving to Beijing. She thinks it will come in useful as a ‘crash course’ in etiquette.

I ordered the book on China, but for an unknown reason and not attributable to the seller, something went wrong. In the past, I had purchased the series on Japan and Thailand. They are simple books, but they describe the culture and customs of a country in a pleasant way, without prejudice or exaggeration. They are enjoyable to read. Perhaps the one about China will arrive in the future, but the seller was very kind in resolving the problem. Recommended anyway.

The perfect primer for anyone interested in modern China. It covers the key history, economics, and politics that you need to know about in order to understand who the Chinese are today and presents the info in an easy and digestible format. The guide goes on to provide info on the values, customs, traditions and festivals that visitors should be aware of, and includes a section on cuisine and how locals like to socialize, including all the necessary etiquette, which plays an important role. There are also plenty of tips on communicating and how to get along with Chinese people. Highly recommend it!
