These are actually quite large. I guess you could cut them in half, but I'd be afraid of the fibers coming loose and the sponge coming apart. Which is where my issue arises. I'd use these for cleaning and scrubbing surfaces, but not so much smaller dishes like cups. These do bend but every time they are bent, no matter how wet they are, it seems they start coming apart. So cleaning the inside of cups is tedious with these. Like I said, they are great for surface area cleaning though. They do not foam up with soap like your everyday cleaning sponges either. They are true to their description as being odor free though. Just rinse them well (which isn't hard) and let them dry. No odor. So I feel better about cleaning with these, I don't feel like I'm smearing bacteria and germs all around my house.
