I've never read a better written children's book. That's all I'll say.

Refugee is a book about 3 kids who have to flee from their country, spanning over 3 generations. It’s very intense and emotional, packed with a lot of adventure and fear as well. It kept me very gripped until the end. The slight plot twist surprised me, and the change in POVs didn’t really affect the flow of the book, and although there were some cliffhangers at the end of chapters, it only aided in increasing the interest we had in the book. A wonderful story for an adolescent to read that teaches them about historical events while making the stories exciting through fiction. A bit of a heavy theme but done in an extraordinary way. Would recommend for 12+.
