I have a lower voltage 115/120V Balboa hot tub with the 1KW heater - the heating coil went out. I confirmed by checking the resistance and it was jumping all over the place on an ohm meter reading. After doing some research I found that basically all the 240V coils would work at 120V, but they'd run at 1/4 power. So this 4kw heater coil would run at 1kw @ 120V.Just a heads up I was shipped a 7" heating coil length, not the 10" as stated in the listing. It seems to be working fine, but I'm not sure if this will matter for some other users?When it arrived I checked the ohm's reading and it was solid at 14.4 on a volt meter - perfect! Easy to install. It doesn't detail 120v compatibility anywhere on the Amazon listing, but it does work at 120V. So far so good!
