People who have painted over the filler, not stained, how did it work out for you?

It works very well but you have to sand it smooth before painting it and it will take. I usually give it about anywhere from a half hour to an hour depending on the amount that I use to allow for drying time.

I have a small gash in my laminated wood floor. Will this fill the gash and then dry hard?

Yes if deep enough! Also color is a factor! Let Dry 24 hrs, then sand with 220 or finer sand paper!
