I'm a college student that doesn't know much about backpacking or anything like that, but these work perfectly on campus. We have lots of trees pretty far apart and these straps are great. They fit perfectly in my backpack with my books and I don't even know they're there weight-wise. Super easy to get back in the bag! They do sag a tiny bit but I've been hanging for a few hours straight and don't notice until I go to get out and I'm a tiny bit closer to the ground. Basically, they're perfect for what I need them for, and the price makes them a steal.

The hammock straps and carabiners are sturdy and well-made and the price is very good.Adjustability of the straps is easy and versatile.The one complaint that I have is that the two straps are not identical in length. They are off by an inch of each other. This would present no problem if I was using them for a hammock. However, I am using them for another purpose that requires that each strap be equal in length and equal where each loop is stitched. I was able to accomplish what I needed by using the straps from the end where all the loops begin rather than the end with the one single loop, which is the end that I found created the length discrepancy. The single loop on one strap was stitched an inch longer than the other strap.

These are amazing

Held me with total confidence. Tree bark unharmed. I did get some pine tree sap on the straps, and it wiped off reasonably well with a wet cloth. 10ft was an excellent length, giving me plenty of freedom to choose pairs of trees. Strong and secure (and more durable than my hammock itself).
