Amazing lights. The barn doors, gel clips, and bi-color/light dimming knob makes this light a great add to an lighting kit. Worked with Litepanel Astras and now this. They are onpar maybe even better. The diffusion doesn't seem to come off, but if you don't want a soft light go for the Raydon version of the light. Same light no diffusion.

I am a solo freelance cinematographer and I love these lights! I upgraded from a fresnel Lowel light kit. I've used various Fresnels, LEDs, and Fluorescent lights. Considering the quality of light, power, and ease of use, I think these are a good deal.Positive--Ability to change from daylight to tungsten and anything in between is awesome! Unlike some cheaper options, you get full power no mater what the kelvin is.-Ability to dim is great.-Out of the box, they are nice and soft. Sometimes I use an additional scrim to get that really nice and soft wrap around light.-They are nice and bright. I have have used the fluorescent kino-flo lights alot, and although they are great, sometimes you have to have them very close to your subject in order to get the exposure you want, especially if you are shooting somewhere bright or against a window. If I'm shooting an interview against a bright window, my keylight will probably be close to 100% to get the exposure I want. If I'm using an additional skrim with the key, I usually use 2 lights at 100%.-I have not experienced any flickering, even at 120fps.-I love the ability to use batteries! It comes with AB and v-mount plates that are pretty easy to swap out. I bought a couple MAXOAK 10700mAh V Mount Batteries- they seem to last around 4-5 hours at 100% power.-The display and user interface on the lights is easy to use. Something to keep in mind is if you use offbrand batteries, the battery power display will not be accurate. I also wish it would display the kelvin if you are between 5600k and 3200kNegative--The case is decent, but not excellent. It comes folded up and you have to put it together. The foam doesn't seem to exactly fit in perfectly at first, but after hauling it around to a few shoots, it started to kind of settle in and fit better.-You cannot remove the diffusion (not a big deal, but it would be nice to remove it for use with a larger scrim or diffusion)-The metal frame on one of the lights was slightly bent making the light appear crooked when on a stand.-The stands are kind of dinky, especially when a battery is mounted. They work, but you'll probably want to use sandbags.-If you are using outlet power, the cable connecting the light to the power brick is very short and leaves the brick dangling. It's pretty awkward- there are some velcro ties included that I use to tie the brick to the stand.These lights were listed as prime shipping when I ordered, however, it took over a week for them to arrive so make sure you you keep this in mind. After they didn't show up after a several days, I called amazon and they told me the package was lost in shipment. The person helping me canceled the original order and placed a new one. A few more days later, the original package showed up at my door and the box looked like it went through heck. It was beat up and there was even old bubble gum stuck to it, EW! A week after that, another set of lights showed up at my door and I had to schedule ups to come and pick up the extra kit for return. It was a pain in the butt. If I could give the shipping process a rating, it would be 2/5 stars.

AWESOME LIGHTS!!! These are my main go to lights for interviews and on-the-go setups where time is precious. I love the BIG rotary dial for adjusting color temperature and brightness. They give off a very balanced diffused light with no noticeable flicker at all. I'm also a big fan of the portable power solution via Anton Bauer or V-Mount style batteries. I've actually used these lights during storms where the power goes out. At 10% brightness with a 98w V-Mount battery, I could get 7 hours of constant power. FYI - 10% brightness when shining at my 10 foot ceiling gives off a lot of light! This is one of the best light kits I own!

I bought these lights for my small production company and they were exactly what I needed. I do mostly corporate videos, commercials, and interviews. I was going to go cheaper but in the end decided not to waste my money on something that would be of no value to me. I needed lights that would not only light subjects in a controlled environment, but also would blend in with natural light. I will say they are nice and bright at 100%, and the ability to change the color temp makes them very flexible for using in a variety of locations. The stands are decent (not the most durable I've ever used, but they are nice for what you end up paying for them in this set), and the bags seem pretty high quality. My only small nitpick is the remote controls are a little wonky and confusing to figure out when you have 3 lights running at the same time. But honestly, I don't foresee even really wanting to use the remotes for my purposes.One of the lights I received was defective (something screwy with the electronics), but Ikan was very quick and helpful to resolve the problem. They shipped me a replacement light BEFORE receiving the defective one, so that I would be made whole first and foremost. The customer support was top notch.Overall I am very pleased and have no regrets about my purchase. Others are giving poor reviews based on Amazon screwing up shipping, which is unfair in a product review.
