I had tried a different brand but those did not work for me. I think these should work just fine. They come with a small plastic tap holding up the little knob on top - pulling this and pushing the knob down will start the watch otherwise there is no drain on the internal battery - which is good. Both of them came with an extra battery so if the first one goes dead I have one to replace it with and know which battery it takes. I threw 3 of the other brand away because they died within months. These should not do that. Also have a nice little pouch to keep the watches in. I use these in several older car's I have to be able to see the time easily - looking forward to not replacing them every year! Review: Received item was broken. The dial doesn’t work to change the time. I had tried a different brand but those did not work for me. I think these should work just fine.
