This dog traffic leash is well-built with quality materials. It looks very nice on the vest of the dog. The leather is strong and the clasp is very thick and nice, I do not doubt that this Traffic Leash will be able to direct even the biggest dog out there.

I purchased this short leash because my dog is very anxious on walks and I find that keeping her closer to me helps alleviate some of her anxiety. This leash has been working wonderfully for us for a few months now. She wears this as well as a Sporn harness to help with the pulling, and the combination has been the best I have found for her. For reference, I have a 4 year old Samoyed, that weighs 55 lbs. The leash is exactly as advertised, it is really a glorified leash handle. So far it has been holding up really well, and that is with a dog that pulls quite a bit. We take 2-3 mile walks 4x a week and I have had this product for a couple months and I have not seen any deterioration in the seams or the buckle. I would highly recommend this product, with the caveat that it will only work if your dog is taller - at least comes to your thigh-level.

I bought this to start training my german shepherd to be a service dog. Being able to keep her close to me while on a leash is a huge must and this leash creates just enough space for me to walk normally and still have full control. It is very sturdy and easy to handle. The leather is comfortable to hold and it's the perfect length.

Short and nice the way i wanted

This leash is great for teaching your (taller) dog to heel. The length is perfect because it keeps the dog right at your side. It's strong and allows for complete control over the dog. My only complaint would be that the buckle clasp is a bit heavy. While hiking we leave the short leash on and let the dog wander (great because she's not tripping on it), but I think the buckle may be annoying her with the weight hanging down. But overall a very sturdy, and well-made product with genuine leather!

Hi y'all! I have a 2 year old, 65 pound German Wirehaired Pointer with TONS of energy. That being said, I have no fear this leash is going to break. If you are looking for someone to tell you to buy this leash without reading the rest of the review, yes, go ahead and purchase. You won't be sorry! For those who want a little more detail, please read on. I do a bunch of horse related things and am pretty picky about leather items. I'm not sure I have any negative points about this leash. The leather is nice and thick, the braid is sturdy, the length is great, the color is nice, the leather itself is not stiff, but smooth and buttery. The dog dunked this thing in the pool a couple of times and I was worried that the leather would get brittle/stiff. I threw some oil on it and bang, good as new. The clasp is very nice sized and sturdy as well. This is not a very heavy leash. One pleasant feature that I"m sure was not intended, but the braided part makes for a very convenient grip when I have to bring my dog in extremely close to me. Even more, I can drop this leash and my pup is tall enough that it doesn't drag the ground making it nice to have already attached to him if I need to grab him quickly. All in all, a great purchase I have not regretted. Thanks!

Love this leash, perfect length for a tall dog. I have a Doberman service dog and this leash works perfect to have him right by my side. He has chewed on it several times and it has withstood his teeth. This is my second one and I love them, buy it if you are in need of a great sturdy leather leash. The clasp is beefy and has enough room to put licenses or tags on it.

This is really nicely made-a quality item. Unfortunately I don't use it much yet. I mostly got it to use indoors to have something to grab while training my lab/shepherd mix puppy (who's now at 50 pounds). It's too easy for her to chew on if I just leave it dangling there during the day which was what I thought I could do. (Stupid, I know, but I am new to this whole dog training thing-she is teaching me much more than I am teaching her!) It is a little shorter than I imagined. The 12 " includes the clip on the end. I am certain we will use this eventually as my skill level increases. I also think it would be excellent for a much bigger dog.
