Great product
We’re kitchen fitters and find these very useful as that extra hand .

I don't know how I managed without them.
I bought these supports to help remove and reinstall some heavy cabinets. The shorter height fit between the counter and most of the upper cabinets. For higher cabinets, I put blocks under the clamps or put them on top of a short ladder.Using these supports, I was able to maneuver heavy cabinets into place, adjust the position, then screw them in, all single-handedly, without strain. The two-person install of a range hood turned into an easy one-person install. When I had to lower the range hood to allow clearance to route the power cord, it was a simple matter to lower a clamp, route the cord, then raise it up again. One caution is that when the release lever is raised, the supports can collapse all the way. I was able to make small adjustments, but I always had one hand on what ever I was installing.

Not what I was hoping for
Having a 3rd arm sounds handy. I can think of so many times I've used a 2x4 to prop something up while I was maneuvering it around myself (windows, cabinets, etc). Having something adjustable with a big pad would have been SO much nicer! I bought this to lift up each end of my pinball games so that I could raise/lower the feet levelers or change out legs. Unfortunately, it's a tad short for the back and would have required a piece of wood to give it a little more height, but what made me decide to return this is that when you release the rod, it doesn't gently lower the heavy item; if you could get it to release with weigh on it - it would just let go - Bam. And that's no-go. But really, I wasn't able to get it to release when I had heavy weight on top of it. I would have had to pick up the machine to knock the helper out... and that's entirely what I needed to avoid. The games weigh 300 pounds! but I'd prefer not to have my pinball machine slam down on two legs! I returned this. Not the product I needed, apparently. But this product would be handy to have around if you aren't looking for something to gently release pressure after holding something up.

This was worth the money!
Newbies at hanging cabinets, we didn't want to add a temporary support rail to the wall to balance cabinets on--we didn't want to repair holes after we removed the rail, or risk hitting wiring or pipes in the wall when we screwed it on. Our upper cabinets were 36" tall, and these supports balanced them beautifully and adjusted easily for my husband to hang them at the perfect height. None of the hardware/building stores near us carry cabinet jacks, so we ordered these and they came in just a few days. Though it might seem a waste of money for just one project, it was so worth it. We intend on using the old cabinets in the garage, and these will come in handy when those are hung.

Does what I bought it for, but not the best out there.
I install a lot of cabinets. Sometimes it is more beneficial to do a base run of cabinets first, then the wall run.In that instance, this little guy is great. Throw a board on top of the base and go. Some people complain about there being no down adjustment, but they just haven't figured out how to use the jack properly. Push the cabinet hard to the wall, release the jack with your thumb, and let the cabinet slide down a little before raising the jack again. The Tjak is the best support pole out there, but in terms of cost and availability, this is a close second.
