It is the actual length of the roll. There are different types of Dual Lock, allowing a person to mix and match types allowing for different amounts of adhesion between two devices. As an example, you may want less adhesion for a removable TV remote control mounted to a wall, vs mounting a IP-TV permanently to a surface behind the display. This is doble by mixing and matching Dual Lock products.

Does the adhesive get soft when it warms? I want to use in a window to hang foil/foam insulation. Hook/loop adhesives tend to let go when sun hits it.

It will if exposed to direct sunlight.

Hard to say without knowing the intended application. The construction of the hook and loop is entirely plastic so yes there. The adhesive is very strong however I doubt it would withstand constant submersion. If were talking a bit of rain here or there. I'd bet it would last through a season, depending on the application surface. Make sure its clean and dry and kept dry for a few days until it is "set". Hope that helps

Good for pedal board mounting.

This is about pedal board mounting. I like this better than hook and loop, to me it’s sturdier, I can use a bit less, and it works with Velcro if it’s already on a pedal. XTS uses it exclusively.

Most reliable form factor for the concept of Velcro.

I was originally introduced to this product when it was supplied with electronic devices intended to monitor electrical efficiency of data center server cabinets. It is the most effective version of Velcro concepts I have ever seen. I purchased it to attach lights to my vehicle inside and out, and it has worked perfectly.

This is the best and most versatile mounting solution, it clamps together very securely.

I love this,I have been using it for years, it is super versatile, usable in many different applications. Much better and stronger than conventional Velcro. It sticks well, the plastic teeth hold exceptionally well.I recently used it to install a DVD player and shelves in my new Camper, it holds the shelves for the DVD player and attaching the DVD player to the shelves. I also use it to hold the remotes on a second shelf and the temp gauge.

Add is deceptive.

Unlike Velcro you will have to buy 8 feet if you want 4 feet. It seems that all dual lock tape is that way. I ordered a couple and all came in the same way. I haven’t tested the grip of the back side yet. I will update when I do.Update: The grip of the adhesive is good. Unfortunately the grip of the removable side isn’t quite as strong. I have standard Velcro that holds better. I wish I could remove another star.

Excellent and Useful Product

This is not the first time I am buying this product. It is very useful and well made. It has a very strong hold. It isn't a hook and loop (velcro) which wears out every time one peels them apart. This is called a dual lock, and there are no loops to wear out. I've been shopping at TEMU almost everyday for months now and this is one of the very few items Amazon sells for less than TEMU. I was actually surprised.

As good as the name brand

Works as well as the name brand. I have both on my pedal board. A lot cheaper than the name brand too. I had to buy some of the the 3m name brand at Home Depot and it was 3 times the price.
