specs check out build quilty look great better then a set of factory if you ask me
The media could not be loaded. so far so good, gonna be putting them through just about as much torture as one can fathom. with forced induction from a 80 88 s400 anywhere from 10 to 20 lbs witch ever she seems to prefer aka what gives the smoothest operation behavior. will keep you posted how that Goes.already build quality appears better then the stock'ers that are being replaced.there tolerances all where met and i found no complaints.great packaging and fast shipment.so far i would recommend to someone looking for a cost effective rebuild alternative.i am not ready to recommend doing boosted app like i am yet, that is yet to be determined. stay tuned for that. now still working on gathering knowledge and data so as to putting together a viable tune and then will be putting through there passes and will let you guys know.turbo charge everything!have a great rest of your day3 months of running with 15lbs of positive boost pressure checking-in. every thing with pistons is great and A ok! thus far. even had a relay stop functioning correctly on the electric water pump (so now i run 2) and got those puppys HOT! HOT! 260 270 maybe gauge stops there don't go any higher and she was pegged tho. thought forsure i had cooked the motor. but quick pull of a head and pan from what i could see looked just the same as it did when it first installed. as in no discoloring scaring functionally wise in perfect condition. wish i snapped pic or shot vid will have to remember to do that next check up. also had drive by wire issues right at first fire. no peddle work-E, work-E. So poor motor unfortunately was abused with quite a few start and just idle a bunch of time trying to troubleshooting WTF before was able to do a proper break-in. but like i said even with a little crap luck maybe little user error an rocky start Ah good to know + is, they can i've tried and they are able to take some abuse and come out unscathed . so that is 2 thumbs up from me for that! if possible to be 100% honest, who is perfect, show of hands...? now all of those with there hands up. is, or has life ever gone perfect or currently is yours life going perfect, and now is that because your perfect or just a side effect from being perfect? ahhhhhh, second thought, never mind, I dont really care, and yes, yes i know i spelled something wrong. did cuz it drives you Krazy have a great day now ya'll6 months come and gone trucks still running great just did another compression test and actually gained a couple of lbs. bore scoped them just for the heck of it everything looks perfect. i have push um as hard as i think ill go with them 15lbs of boost but all seem great to me even running a bit more advance on my timing then factory and think if i wanted to push it i could go more because computer hasn't sensed any piston rock or knock at all and ive data logged almost all the miles i have driven the truck. still need to find a quiet back straight road that is long enough to get my 1/4 mile time and mile an hour when i do ill try and record it hp tuners and a companion phone app lets me video rec the run and also displays any of the real time data of my choosing right onto that same video footage if i can figure it all out that is. just as soon as i finish the 8.8 swap i started this week, but shouldn't be more then the next couple of days everything is fab'ed just need to finish setup on it now. I grenaded the 7.5 10 bolt the other day. prob would of been done already but i wanted to recreate the 03 mustang suspension geometry the 8.8 came out of as closely as possible. i know ford spent millions developing its pretty trick setup, would be stupid to think i could come up with a better one. excited to take it for a spin again most likely this weekend.well its been over a year and glad to say there hang in there strong just finished eliminating the quench on the factory heads dealing with some detonation. i don't think its the pistons fault pretty sure its dang pump gas not liking anything over 10 or 11 lbs of boost cool dense air days sometimes as low as 7 (i sure wish e85 was easier to come by id run it all the time not just track days) so i had the heads off an slid one piston out and despite even all the knocking they still look perfect. also tubed it got a bitchin set of welds, goal for year is single digits or blow up trying. well i got lots more work to do, i better get back at it
