Gave new life to my house slippers
The inner lining of my house slippers had wore through and made them uncomfortable to wear. Placed these insoles in them and they are comfortable to wear. After a month or two the insoles sometimes do need to be thrown in the washer to freshen up their smell; but they are cheap enough that I have a second pair of insoles on standby to quickly switch out when needed. Been a couple years now of extra life for my house slippers; and still going.

Good basic insole replacement
I was eager to try these based on the eco-friendly design and thin construction. I have had hit-or-miss experiences with the good Doctor in the past. Some of the insoles work well for me and others don’t. I would describe this new model as a qualified hit.Pros are the thin construction, soft foam, arch support and heel cup. I like insoles without much bulk that nonetheless provide some benefits to the wearer. The con as usual is the one-size-fits-all. The arch sits kind of forward on my feet since I’m a 9. These go all the way up to 14! I get that it saves money to do it this way, but making a 7-10 and 11-14 isn’t THAT much harder, is it?Also, the arch support isn’t very substantial here. It works well in athletic shoes that already contain some support (I put them in my Nike cross trainers for example), but probably wouldn’t do as much in a flatter shoe. However, for the low price, these are certainly a good deal and are way better than stock insoles that come in most shoes. Therefore I do recommend them. If you need to replace the insoles that come in your shoes, these will undoubtedly offer better cushioning and support. If you need a lot of arch support or a precise fit, keep looking.

The cork arches are heat moldable; excellent for low profile insole.
If you understand that these are a minimal, low profile insole and do not need a ton of support, then these are excellent. These would also work for shoes with out a lot of room in them; think dressy shoes and boots. I use these in a pair of Nike free runners, a quasi-minimalist shoe. I do not need a thick insole nor does that shoe have room for one. These insoles are in that grey area between the flimsy sock liners that shoes come with and the sport insoles with the plastic arch cages. As far as the cork arches, these can be trimmed, filed down, and heat molded to fit accordingly. Obvious disclaimer to do so at your own risk. But, I used a heat gun (hair dryer on high might work) for about a minute only heating the cork section. Afterwards, immediately place insole in shoe and stand in shoe with weight bearing down flat for a few minutes. Insole arches should conform to foot shape better.

Very comfortable insoles
The insoles have very nice arch support which I like standing on them all day. The insoles are thick enough to stop the cold from coming from the cement floors.

Mixed
I saw other reviews for squeaking, but I needed a slim insole for my boots. The squeaking was present, but not bad. Not audible in my workplace. However, they started to smell after 2 weeks, and those boots are 2 years old with only a great natural leather smell.

Fit my shoe perfectly and saved me from a lot of pain
The original foam insoles of my all leather work shoes eventually split and gave out after months of constant walking on the job. At first I replaced them with a Dr. Schol'ls gel insole, but it just didn't have the support for my flat feet and the gel tended to just squish sideways when weight was on them. My feet were killing me until I finally decided to try these. The cork helps a bunch with arch support and the foam is better at compressing straight down with weight. Easy to trim to size. Also bonus is the better environmental impact using more easily recycled and disposable materials versus other foams and gels. Definitely will go back to these again and again.
