More sex than story
I know I’m going to upset a lot of people, but frankly I thought this book had too much sex and too little story. It seemed like each chapter was a small scene fit around a larger sex scene. Thank goodness there was a lot of fun and playful banter between Pete & Jess, among the band members, and among Pete’s family. Ophelia is a great character – she deserves her own book! The book was bogged down by so much angst of Jess falling in love with Pete when he doesn’t want a real relationship. Pete was a real jerk for most of the book. I understand being hurt by a previous relationship, but he should not have treated Jess so badly. The only time he seemed to care was during sex, and then he’d turn off almost immediately. I’m glad Jess finally stood up to him. I’m also glad that Pete finally came to realize what he has with Jess.

Playing With My Emotions (In a Good Way)
When you read a good book it sends you on a journey. This one did that. I was already attached to Pete and the previous characters or can I call them people because that's how they feel to me. Mrs. Kaswell made these characters real. Again, she gave them real problems and made them perfect in their imperfections. I could really relate to Jess. I think most people who have witnessed alcohol abuse from someone they love can and I know most can relate to Pete. Her descriptions of them are wonderful but there is true emotion and heart in each character. I have truly fallen in love with them. Well, all of them but Aiden but again, that's what should happen when the guy is making your lead's lives difficult. This is the fourth book in the series and by that time there should be a world to build on that is consistent. She did that very well, adding new places and vivid descriptions as she went. She truly does this justice. The plot is moving but the thing about her books is she has this tendency to tear my heart out before piecing it back together and I love her for it. That emotion is what people read books for. So, here's my heart Crystal Kaswell...obliterate it...As long as you keep putting it together so tremendously.I recommend this book for anyone who loves romance, bands and stories that have a heart and soul. I do not recommend this book for children because they will learn about the birds and the bees within its pages.

Is it difficult to love a rockstar??
Pete was the only member of Sinful Serenade who had had a long-term girlfriend, 6 years! When she cheated on him with his best friend no less, it was a severe blow causing a huge sense of betrayal and a lack of trust in himself. So Pete started the one and done womanizing formerly practiced by the rest of the band. Then he 'met' Jess (cute scene). Pete needs a normal girlfriend as instructed by his management and he thinks Jess fits the bill. He explains there's no possibility of a relationship or forever. Can Jess handle that? He'll give her whatever she needs. Since Jess's funding for law school just fell through, she agonizes over her options, likes talking to Pete, and takes him up on his offer, figuring she can certainly keep from falling for him, right? He's hot, gorgeous, a sex god, dirty talking, makes her feel like a queen... But she'll do okay... I love Crystal Kaswell's books. All of them, but especially the rockstar ones. Try it, I'll bet you'll love it! ( although you may want to slap Pete a few times for being so stubborn!)

More Than Just Another Rockstar
Unlike his band mates, Pete has been the dedicated boyfriend and for the longest time that’s all he knew how to be, that is until the only woman he had been dedicated to broke his heart and with his best friend of all people. Now Pete has decided to close off his heart and keep it surface level only when it comes to the opposite sex. Mid-coitus he meets student Jess and from there things change. Jess is completely focused on school, especially with the recent betrayal she’s had. But, what she never expected was bassist Pete Steele. Pete needs a fake girlfriend and Jess needs money for law school. But, with his filthy sweet nothings whispering in her ear and his willingness to share parts of himself that he’s never shared with anyone else Jess is powerless to falling for Pete. Pete was the ultimate heartthrob. He was always teased for his filthy mouth and holy freaking crap does he deliver. But, then he had these moments of shyness, caring, giving, and oh so super sweet especially at the end, Jess really didn’t stand a chance. Play Your Heart Out may just be my favorite in the Sinful Serenade series.

Another Winner!
Pete is my new favorite! Actually, I can't decide between him and Tom, so I'll just take both.I love this rock star series. I love that it's a strange business--music--that most of us can't comprehend in our daily lives. It strikes me as so realistic that things move fast and that the solutions aren't always what we'd find in "ordinary" situations. I love the fantasy of it, that the ordinary girl has a chance with a hot rock star.Pete had tried to play by the rules and got his heart broken. He protected himself but gave what he could, until he realized exactly what he was losing by holding himself back from Jess. She had her own insecurities and fears, but in the end, Pete was there when she really needed him.Love the sexy opening, the dirty talk and the sex scenes. Crystal Kaswell just works for me, as both a reader and a writer, and I'll keep reading everything she writes.

Play Your Heart Out - So good I don't want this series to end
This is a fantastic book that I don't want it to end. This book ending means this series is over. I am so sad to see it end. Pete and Jess make such a great couple. Pete needs a girlfriend that is normal and who is willing to put up with him. Their manager stated the he needed to do it for the band. When he runs into Jess he asked her to be his girlfriend but with limits. He wasn't looking forever just for now to get his manager off his back. Can Jess handled just being with him with falling for him?Such a great a definite must read.

Unexpectedly amazing!
What can i say, Pete has totally blown my mind! In the first three boom you sont get much af him, he the mysterious one of the group, but when you read the book he just gives you more than you would have expected. Pete surprised me a lot, so did Jess. I honestly can't wait to read more and more, these books will cause sleep deprivation but is worth it for they hell of a journey each book takes you on
