Great value and plug-n-play replacement for my 12 year old Lance camper bathroom roof vent

Good Fix and work well

The ordering process was insignificant, the shipping process took about a week, the item arrived in a well fitted box. The frame and seals appeared to be well constructed and similar to my unit being replaced. The issue I had with the vent was the hinges. The hinges are molded into the vent cover and are plastic. I believe this to be a design flaw that I did not care for. The vent is opened/closed by turning a know and not a crank handle. Otherwise, I believe these would do the job, but not sure for how long before the plastic cracked.

Great beginner DIY kit to install a new or replacement vent in your RV. Requires 14 X 14 square Roof cut out. Included in the box is most items you need. You will also need to remember this is a powered exhausting vent that requires a 12 volt power supply so you may need to run a Neg- and Pos+12 volt wire to the nearest ceiling light unless you are replacing an existing powered vent. Also note after installation you will need sealant (not included in the box) to cover all the mounting screws and the edges of the vent mounting base to your roof top. Use a product such as Dicor (available on Amazon) If your exterior roof is a EPDM or PVC Rubber type roof otherwise you can use most silicone products Available on Amazon) to completely seal the screw heads and edges of the vent base. The more sealant you use the better, also make sure you always place vent in the roof opening with the hinge side towards the front of RV for traveling down the road if vent lid is accidently left open. Install only on a clear dry day as the sealant will need time to cure properly. Be Careful on your roof, use plywood under support to work on if your RV is a travel trailer without a built in roof rack and ladder as some roofs are thinner and can be damaged if walked on without proper under support. Be Careful on any RV roof!

I replaced the vent on my camper when a hurricane tore off my old one. Easy to install, fit perfectly into the existing roof opening and connected to the power easily. The fan was smooth and quiet.
