wrong book
you should check your system.i returned the book because it was not what i thought it would be.i assumed because it said it was for tax year 2013,it would cover 2013-2014 as nmost tax books would do.no,this book is for 2012-2013.

More broad brush than last year's FT Personal Tax Guide
The FT guide seems to have been taken over by others and reviews of the current edition weren't promising so I decided to give this a try. It seems pretty reliable but, because it covers a wide range of taxes (I was looking for detailed advice on income tax to complete my return) it tends to adopt a macro approach and doesn't answer some questions which the FT book helped me with in 2011/12. When I have finally completed my self assessment return I may try to add to this note but I'd have been happier with the other book.In completing my return for 2012/13 I did find this useful but, for some questions, still had to look back at the previous year's FT Guide. Not sure what I'll do next year.

Wrong year
I had meant to purchase the 2014 guide and bought the wrong guide instead. The guide itself is excellent for its purpose.
