acmeKastmaster Lure with Buck Tail Hook

but I'd rather have the trebel hook model. About 50/50 hookups on this single hook when struck by striper.

I later realized that this was chrome and blue, not just chrome. I will keep this though, it's a great lure and it's not damaged. (Pls change the pic)But the bucktail was sticking out from the package,maybe it got shaken during transportation?

It's a Kastmaster but this is my first big one, 1.5 oz, with bucktail. I've had smaller ones for trout for years but trying the bigger one for surf stripers. The body, rings, and hooks looks fine but one star deducted for the pathetic bucktail. It looks like there's half left on the jig! There were a few strands in the envelope OUTSIDE of the "sealed" box and upon opening, a few more fell off. Then lightly stroking it, I was able to pull off quite a few more strands. Sucks I have to buy a new product and "fix", re-tie the bucktail but oh well. Easily done I guess.Update: haven't caught fish yet but just tied new bucktail on it. Second pic. Maybe this will get me fish! Lol!

This is my favorite coastal lure. I couldn't tell you how many stripers and blues I've caught using a 2 oz Kastmaster over the years. The aerodynamics make these bad boys sail further than any comparable lure. I prefer the J hook to the treble hook version because they pick up less seaweed, do less damage to the fish and increase the survivability of undersized fish you put back. Tight lines!

Why is there three on the picture but I only got one.. the tail come off easily and need more like I’m the picture

While the description seems ok and does say chrome and blue and 2oz the photo shows three kastmasters of different sizes and all chrome, which is curious and can confuse people.

These lures are amazing. They cast a freaking mile and catch just about anything. I use them for striper on Lake Texoma, casting them from my kayak - they go forever. I've also used them while surf fishing. If you want to get "way" out there, these will do it.

for a lure like this it really needs a treble hook instead of the one it comes with. many fish hit it but get off

the trout in my area love this lure but the rocks do to🤣.I thought I was buying the three sizes but the text above says 2oz.....oops🤣.

It's a good lure, however, the hook is mediocre. It will do the job though. The action is good, I got the 2oz version and I can cast it a country mile. Might try it on some striped bass in a few days.
