It's a lot easier than putting on a full bee suit or smock and equally effective protection. The drawstring broke the first time I used it, pulling out of the hat. Also the hat is slightly smaller than my larger head. Would be better if it had a larger size option or adjustable somehow.

I bought this for hiking in the Shenandoah. The bugs are fierce. My friends laughed when I showed them. ..... they now swat bothersome bugs that won’t leave them be.I swat the ladies, cause they can’t get enough.The hat works. Comfy. Nice net.

The hat and veil are perfect for a visit to the beehive. I have a jacket as well, but I enjoy the comfort and easy of putting this on. There have been complaints about the underarm straps, and it is true that they are not very heavy duty, but they work for me. I am 5'10, 185# and it fits me like a glove. I could see where the under arm straps would rip off for a larger person. For the money, I would by another one.

Overall I like this veil - the hat itself is nice, and I like that the mesh goes all the way around and not just in the front like some other one-piece veils.I also like the elastic straps on it - it makes it feel secure and holds the bottom of the mesh snug so the bees can't wriggle their way in under it. That said, said straps aren't adequately stitched to their clips. Twice now the elastic has detached entirely from said clips (once on each strap). I've decided to just knot the elastic back onto the clips and go on my way, and it seems to be working out so far.TL;DR I like this veil, but the straps have issues.

This is a well made hat and my go to for inspections very comfortable .. PEOPLE ARE JUST WHINERS AND REALLY NEED TO QUIT HAVING BEES IF THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT... NO COMMON SENSE IS THIS COUNTRY ITS EVERYBODY ELSES FAULT.. GROW THE HELL UP THE HAT DOES ITS JOB GREAT

I have horses and we spend much of the summer trying to control the fly and gnat population. We are only put a dent in the bug population and the mask is necessary when we are out in the fields. It works great.
