So far so good!! 2009 Chevy Suburban 2500 LT
So far so good! I have a 2009 Chevy Suburban 2500 LT with just a lil over 150K miles on the engine and decided to try the Valvoline High Mileage 150K Synthetic oil for my Florida Road Trip, starting from the North East Coast driving to the southwest coast of Florida.. I have to say right now this is hands down the best oil I have ever used for a high mileage engine. My Suburban has the common Chevy LS engine oil consumption problem and the agonizing Low Oil Pressure gauge reading. I also had a check engine light on that I had on for months. Before my trip I took my Surburban to my mechanic and instructed him to use this oil I purchased. Did the oil change and guess what.. After a few hundred miles of driving south towards my destination, the check engine light turned off and the oil pressure seems to be normal. Drove about 1200 miles checked the oil and I was shocked. Right now It looks to be working really well and not consuming oil the way it was before where I had to constantly monitor and add Valvoline Synthetic 5w30 oil. Will be using this from now on with 3K oil Change intervals…

Good for high mileage
Bought it for a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta SE. It has high mileage (170k approx) It does provide great lubrication. The motor is very silent and smooth.

Noisy KIA fix !!!
I have a Kia Sorento V6 that has become noisy and rough idling since it passed 85,000 miles, now at 100k miles. It quiets and smooths out a bit after it reaches normal operating temperature, but it still worries me that something inside the engine is going to break or is in the process of breaking. I tried a moly oil treatment about 3 months ago, but since the car burns oil (it's a GDI Lambda II motor), the additive burns up with the oil, so it's a temporary, expensive fix. This oil has the Molybdenum additive built in to the oil, so the high mileage additive THAT BONDS WITH THE METAL PARTS inside the engine STAYS inside the engine even if it burns oil. When I top it off after it burns some oil, I am adding more additive so the percentage of protective Molybdenum additive stays the same, protecting the engine and making it run more smoothly/quietly ALL the time - cold or warm. I've always thought that the Moly additive was some sort of "magic" chemical, but Molybdenum is an ELEMENT, a metal, like zinc, which is also added to high mileage oil, and it sticks to the rough places on the engine's metal parts and reduces friction, which makes the engine run more smoothly and quietly all the time. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER OIL. THANK YOU VAVOLINE. PS I took this oil and my Wix brand filter to the Valvoline oil place where I usually have my oil changed, and they changed the oil and filter for only $50 labor. Their usual oil change for my car is about $140 for synthetic oil, so $60 for my oil and filter plus their $50 labor, $110, is $30 less than I used to pay for their regular high-mileage oil - a bargain !!

Works
08 Nissan Sentra with close to 200k miles. makes typical noises for cars with high mileage. It smooths them out for a few thousand. i change the oil every 4k miles. the oil smells, looks, and tastes like old used oil. It could probably last longer then 4k but oil is cheap and motors are not.

Had high hope for this valvoline 150k, on the positive car does accelerate quicker faster throttle response maybe because of the moly or because the 5w-30 is on the thinner side. The only negative the engine sounds louder(the valves) don't know if because it is on thinner side 5w-30 or the moly, that's why I give it 4 stars. Before I used Quakerstate H.M. and the engine was quieter and smooth. Don't know if this will change if not will go back to Quakerstate or maybe try Valvoline 75k (red bottle)

Camry w/220,000mi on clock
2011 Camry @220k miles This oil smooths out the engine. If I covered the odometer, sitting in my car running and at idle, you couldn’t guess the mileage.
