Great size for front door!
I bought this for the front door. I haven't had it very long, so cannot vouch for the long term durability, however, it works for my immediate need in getting grass or dirt off my shoes after walking/working in the yard. I can't vouch for absorbency either. I don't know why you "want" the mat at the front door to be absorbent really... I never have soaking wet shoes and if I did, after getting the debris off the shoes, I would leave the shoes on the linoleum by the front door anyway... so wouldn't been tracking anything through my house to begin with. I know everyone has their own routine though, so if you're looking for something "absorbent," I wouldn't recommend this particular style of mat. It's perfect for my purposes though! I have an overhang above the front door area that protects from rain, so unless we have hurricane rains, I don't really expect this one to get saturated. I also can't vouch for how easy it is to clean as I don't typically have "muddy" shoes/boots, so haven't had to rinse it. I have picked it up to shaken it a time or two, and everything has just fallen off or out of the mat with ease. I would not be afraid to take a hose to it if necessary though. It feels well made and after unrolling it, it has immediately lain flat without any bumps or ridges to trip over. I like that it also extends beyond just the front door area, so I don't have to worry about stepping out the front door, landing on the edge of the mat and becoming off balance. I would highly recommend this particular floor mat.

The Classic Doormat
If you’re renting, this door mat will probably outlast your contract? One of the most familiar doormatsaround…because they have time proven reputation I will support. If you want a mat that you can cleanCOMPLETELY, get a rubber one. This stout material is so historic I bet you remember how it feels to stand on one barefoot? A lower grade doormat says: “ don’t worry, drag that mess in!” This mat says: “wipe your feet or go home!” Yes, it’s a bit hard to clean completely as the natural tough coconut core fiber will age gracefully. Even the color is an American Standard. FYI don’t expose to sustained water or rain.

Love!
This is our 2nd Ecomills Coco Coir Door Mat, the first one is still going strong after 3 years! Great quality product, makes our exterior door entry look great.

Cleans shoes well, stays in place, looks good
We had a similar mat before, wore out after 15 years. Very effective. Our only complaint with this one is it shed fibers for the first month or so.

Holds water and stains
Used at our front door which is semi-covered by an awning, even the slightest bit of rain permeates this mat and stays in it forever. It's less than 2 months old and totally discolored despite the fact that we don't get much weather here. We've owned plenty of mats similar to this over the years and never had this experience.I'm sorry that I didn't return it before the window closed.Do not recommend.

Still Looking Good
Went through rain, sun, heat, wind and still looks like I just purchased it. Wicks away dirt from shoes well and seems to be holding up without shedding. Great price for such a good quality mat.

Nice heavy, thick mats - good value
I needed heavy mats for several doors accessing a high rise condo balcony that gets strong winds - the gusts don't move these! I have seen lesser quality mats for a lot more money. These do shed a lot at first, but all coir mats do. They were rolled to ship but flattened immediately. I only bought a couple to start, but went back and bought two more to cover all my doors!

Nice Thin Look - No Excessive Shedding
I bought four of these for me and my apartment floor neighbors. I had purchased different ones but they had blemishes and irregular appearance so I returned them. These are nicely colored and uniform in appearance. I was concerned from the reviews about excessive shedding but that has not been an issue. Very happy with these and would highly recommend.
