Old India Chicory Root 100g

I bought this and roasted a load of it which I ground into coffee. It's a great cost-effective way to get a pure product. I follow medical medium information and he recommends chicory coffee for the liver. But besides this chicory coffee is delicious, I sweeten it with maple syrup.

I ordered a pack of 500 grams chicory root. The package i received contains a maximum 250-300 grams of product. I'm really disappointed.

I have been roasting chicory root and grinding it to make a caffeine free coffee like hot drink.I was a bit dubious when I saw the colour and texture as my previous buys looked slightly different.This root gets a big thumbs up! Great aroma,only need to use 1 teaspoon for a strong and extremely pleasant cuppa.. Highly recommend!

I recently tried Old India Chicory Root and I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I appreciate that it's unroasted, which preserves more of the nutrients and health benefits of the root. Additionally, it's a great coffee substitute for those who are trying to cut back on caffeine. However, the taste is a big downside for me. It doesn't taste very good on its own and I found myself needing to add a lot of sweetener and milk just to make it palatable. In my opinion, roasted chicory root would be a much better choice for anyone looking for a tasty coffee alternative.
